Trance

As you might have heard or read, the guys behind Trance Classics started an event on Facebook a while ago. Their goal is to get a true trance classic to the #1 spot of the Beatport Trance Chart. I was very proud when I found out that they decided to pick the track “Gouryella” by Gouryella! As you might know, “Gouryella” is a project that Tiësto and myself started in the year 1999.

In just a few days time, “Gouryella” already made it to the #7 position of the Trance Chart!
Tiësto and myself really like this cool initiative and we find it amazing to see a track that we did together back in 1999, seeing climb the charts that fast!

Because we both support this spontaneous initiative, we decided that we will give all royalties of the track to charity.

So, we will donate all royalties of “Gouryella - Gouryella” to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an independent nonprofit organization, whose mission it is, to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.

In 1998 I produced a track called "The World" under my "Pulp Victim" alias. "The World" contains some vocals done by Maire Brennan, the singer of Clannad. A year later (in 1999), the track got re-released with some brand new remixes. One of the new remixes was done by myself, under my "Moonman" alias.

And that one got requested a lot you guys on Facebook and Twitter, so that's why you can find this on my Soundcloud now ;-) 
Next month I will let you all pick another production / remix of me and I will upload the most requested one to Soundcloud as well then.

The path ahead.  Arduous.  Frustrating.  Slow.  We toss and turn in our Winters weary, hopeful that a new Dawn will come.  We arm ourselves with new resolutions, wishes for new greatness, but what of them?  With only cold and drear surrounding us, it is easy to lose sight of the light in the distance, and standard procedure to let our conviction degenerate into mere hope in our arbitrary promises.

Episode 3 meets us here.  Kneeling in the snow, it finds us, and offers a glimpse of what fate it envisions.  Does it wish us well?  Will the story be one of celebration as we remember, or are we destined for darker journey this time?  Or, perhaps, this is a story of change - as mood and brood ensorcell our minds now in the beginning, an example of how we can find within us the courage to rise to a dreamed height.  Doubtless, trial and tribulation will challenge us along our way, repeatedly questioning whether we are confident to say we have yet found our light.  In concert, even as we near euphoria, our own emotions will struggle to differentiate between elation and sadness. It will once again be all too easy to give up and resign ourselves to frustration.  But if we can conjure the commitment to stay the course, to keep with this prescribed path to its very end, we may find the resolution we once conceived.
