The year the way of the world ended
in 83 with the old copper penny
tested methods  fermentin' an pressed together
Tobacco bowed out for opiate pills forever
this is the thrill of the new Saturday night
mud cups still glistening white
we dont act the play anymore 
no make believin our armies aren't at war
the bow tightly bent to aim at a point
to help the living cut through stadium noise.
Natives foretold that sickness comes
warriors fight and red dirt stuns
we got to quit when announced of time
plucked where we hung on to summers vine
to ripen and be rinsed and eaten then forgiven
ashamed to say I pray to white religion
made to rest with one knee bent
all life's  mean meanings to heaven be sent
why worship the mother and be so wishful 
as you pin me still with eyes of crystal
don't look upon me so eerie and evil
your stare is stunning and serves to belittle
what once was so hollow and hopeful
now is the end of the show we just opened. 
Act one was the best and second a mess
the scene where I hoped the hero would confess
he quit instead and his identity stay hidden
retired to the hills somewhere east over Eden.
Now the third Act nothing looks like before
The set has been struck on the stage just a door
only actor standing holds   in each hand a penny
And tosses them up lets it and lets them drop to a landing
Heads or Tails isn't really important
the audience isn't informed and he completely ignores it
its the sound that the coins make as they strike the ground
And which one drops fastest that's meant to be found.
We sit to ponder what's the meaning of this show
And if we leave now where would anyone go?
