For the launch of Ensemble we asked Christopher Thorn (Blind Melon, Awolnation) to try it out recording a song with his new band "Sonny Boy Thorn" featuring Davey Dennis on vocals, Frank DiVanna on bass, Hayden Scott (Awolnation) on drums, and guest appearance from Rami Jaffee (The Foo Fighters and Wallflowers) on B3 and piano. This song was recorded using Apogee MiC, JAM and ONE audio interfaces connected directly to iPad.

Urban Hike is an original song by Cody Cloe and Sergio Ruelas made on an iPad Pro using the new Live Loops feature in GarageBand for iOS. Cody started off by creating the song structure, comprised completely of sounds within the default Live Loops Dub Step template, while monitoring through headphones via Apogee ONE. After the song was created and arranged with the royalty free loops built into GarageBand, Sergio used Apogee JAM 96k to record electric guitar into Live Loops cells. All guitar tracks heard in the song were created by Sergio and recorded with JAM. Once guitar was finished and added to the arrangement, Cody wrote the lyrics and recorded his vocals using Apogee MiC.

Apogee was fortunate enough to have Hawaiian artist Willie K. stop by for an in-prompt performance in Santa Monica, California.  With just a single Apogee MiC set up to capture his voice and ukulele, the song was recorded in one take straight into the iPad using GarageBand.

Willie K. - Recording Ukulele and Vocals with Apogee MiC, iPad and Apple GarageBand

During the mix of "The Bronx IV", Los Angeles based band, The Bronx, and engineer Beau Burchell hooked up an Apogee Symphony I/O to their Pro Tools HD rig and immediately knew they had to re-mix the entire record using Symphony I/O.

Later in attempt to put Symphony I/O through it's paces, Beau "for fun" connected Symphony I/O to his MacBook Pro via USB. Armed only with Symphony I/O fully loaded with an 8x8 module & 8 Mic Pre amp module, Pro Tools on a MacBook Pro, and few microphones... The Bronx re-recorded a version of the song "Knifeman" from the 2008 record "The Bronx III".
