O Yuki Conjugate have been active since 1982. Initially embracing Post Punk currents they evolved into early pioneers of Fourth World music and still very active have never stopped evolving. In the mid 90s their music briefly crossed over with the fringes of the club scene as their “Equator” album became something of an ambient classic. Signed to ultra cult Dutch label Staalplaat, a label as far removed from the club world as one might imagine, they nevertheless decided to release a club friendly 12” with a remix from Charles Webster that became an E Music classic. Perhaps the least known of his remixes this ten minute epic take on their ambient masterpiece will melt the hardest heart. 

The original Staalplaat 12” is almost impossible to find so Optimo Music is delighted to make it available again in a slightly reconfigured version. Three divine Sunchemical takes from OYC and a Charles Webster remix that a quarter of a century later sounds as if it might just have been created. Comes in a full colour sleeve designed by Andrew Beltran. Mastered by James Savage.

@adam-stromstedt is a Swedish producer, growing up in Stockholm, but currently residing in Sydney, Australia. He runs a label called @lyssna-records alongside fellow Swedish producer Flord King (lyssnarecords.bandcamp.com). They have such an awesome catalog of really tasteful & insanely groovy house on the deeper side. Adam has been running a regular radioshow in Sydney throughout the entire pandemic called @always-sometimes. He was nice enough to have me on the show twice for guestmixes & the show became my regular evening cooking / wind down soundtrack during the week for the last year or so. They just had their 50th & final Orbital Radio episode earlier this month (all episodes can be found here: soundcloud.com/always-sometimes). His music is incredibly meditative & groovy with so much thought & care put into sound choice, rhythm, witty vocal samples, etc. He has these extremely punchy, clean & crisp mixdowns that I've envied since first hearing his Redfern EP back in 2019. Gli Ornamenti comes in three different versions, which is nice. The U20 Mix is all about that sweet Roland U20 and offers us many of its decorative sounds. 
The Maximal Minimal Mix is the one to go to when you don’t want a lot of different stuff, but what you want you really want a lot of. 
The Ambient Mix is perfect to play while inspecting the grass growing under your apple tree. This is a good 12-inch single for the industrial balearic summers ahead.
