After six inimitable EPs ranging from blissful pop to slow burning house, Frank&Tony, aka Francis Harris and Anthony Collins, the creative force behind the boutique label Scissor and Thread, break new ground once again with their debut full length, "You Go Girl.” Reflecting the spellbinding vibe of their monthly "Punch Drunk Love" residency in The Panther Room at Brooklyn’s Output, “You Go Girl,” marks the duo's turn from their pop-driven work with proteges Bob Moses towards a grittier, analogue, club-centric approach. The result is an enduring slice of true dance floor magic that nods to Basic Channel, Detroit and New York house while rolling along effortlessly for nearly an hour. Highlights include "Bring the Sun," an achingly elegant ode to lost love sung by frequent label contributor Gry Bagøien, as well as the catchy house roller “Resistance,” which features Jason Poranski of Beirut. The November 17th digital release of the album is to be preceded by a three part vinyl version, (the individually titled “You,” “Go,” and “Girl,” EPs are due October 20th, November 3rd and November 17th, respectively,) with an alternate track list heavy on DJ-friendly dubs and exclusives including the sprawling thirteen minute, “Companion,” a collaboration with DJ Sprinkles that has the indescribable feel of an instant classic.

Almost two years ago we reissued DJ Boom ‘Kinda Kickin’ with an extra Efdemin remix on CURLE-P06D. Because y’all loved it so much, we decided to reissue some more Matthew Herbert deep house goodies. First up is ‘See You On Monday’ from the iconic “Part One” EP – 20 years old but still timeless, and now available digitally for the first time! On remix duties is Linkwood, who released his brilliant “Expressions” album on Firecracker last year. He for one knows how to keep the groove whilst diving deep. The imprint run by Ave Astra is building a reputation for dropping forward thinking Electronic Club Friendly music. The label is building its own sound, mixing deep and dubby melodies with more Disco / House grooves and has been getting support all over the world by the likes of Bicep, MCDE, Ivan Smagghe, Moscoman, Groove Armada and more 

Their latest output perfectly showcases their musical approach. Herb LF’s ‘OBERHEIMER EP’ includes 3 original cuts and a remix coming from Jack For Daze’s Arttu. The German producer has been making music for the past 20 years, always delivering high quality analogue sounding Dance music. His 3 new tracks are a mixture of stomping grooves, intricate arp melodies, deep basslines and dreamy atmospheres. There are many influences in these 3 original tracks, making this a really heterogeneous release: from the totally disco ‘Von Zeit zu Zeit seh' ich den Alten gern’ and the wobbly - bassy ‘A Little Dub’ to the relentless late-night killer 'Oberheimer'. The 4th cut in the release is the outstanding Arttu’s remix, already backed up by Ivan Smagghe, Jef K and more.

Originally released by Warp Records in 1993, Nail’s ‘Cassiopeia’ has since turned into a timeless deep trance classic. Luca Lozano’s interpretation sits somewhere between a remix and an edit, swapping out the original drums for an 808 and some breakbeats. Originally intended only for personal use on the dance floors, Klasse Wrecks is pleased to announce it is now available for public enjoyment via a one-sided white label. The record is housed in a translucent orange sleeve, comes with a 42x60cm ‘Klasse Wrecks’ poster and is limited to 400 copies only.
