Our lives were put on this earth in a fatherless state and we have been charged with the raising of ourselves. And because we don't realize this, we struggle with the consequences of spoiling our own selves, wondering why life doesn't seem all that fulfilling. And that's because what it means to be mature, and to life live in love, is to live for other people. The only thing you can't give yourself is love and it's the only thing we need.

There always comes that time when you realize that you could treat people better. But when you really analyze it, it's almost impossible to show somebody love in your own time. This elusive moment of necessity will arrive, but you can never know when it's coming so you must be ready to act appropriately in the moment instead of trying to preemptively do right by someone. It's hard to do the right thing, and even though sometimes I don't realize I'm being selfish, other times I know exactly what I'm doing wrong and go right on ahead and do it anyways. Luckily there's this thing called forgiveness. Though undeserving it's still given to us.

The epitome of life's existence is to show love in our relationships. I find it's relatively easy to forget this purpose of ours, however. Time is a dangerous man, and he seems to be jealous of the life we have and eager to capture our attention.

Pulling multiple genres and melding them into one progressive-folk stew, apollo and Lacuna's music takes blues-rock in a whole different direction, taking on the carnal folk style of Iron &amp; Wine, the subtle whispers of Simon &amp; Garfunkel, the beautiful oddities of Sigur Ros, and the blues infused pop of John Mayer and smashing them together with raw emotion and outlandish prowess. It's clear that apollo and Lacuna does not limit itself, but is still headed in a definite direction. And that direction is new.

We know what music can do. Music reaches where food and water cannot reach, where materialism is not realized. Music reaches into your heart and soul.
