Description:
- After Kemet emailed me the instrumental, I immediately began to write to it. It took me about an hour to revise the lyrics and record a draft. On the days that followed, I listened to the audio more times than I can count, coming up with a different melody with every listen. 
After recording the finished version with Kemet, days later I questioned myself and asked: "who was I talking about?" Ironically,  It turned out that I had Ilanna Ashley Rosario in my subconscious mind all along. That just makes me laugh.

Motivation:
- After one of my closest friends, Antawani Wright Davis (Instagram @primitivedeity) passed away in a tragic accident on Friday, November 3rd, 2017. Immediately my life goal became to leave a legacy not only for myself but, for him also. As an individual who doesn't deal with death often, I quickly realized that life doesn't give you the path, it only gives you the obstacle. With Antawani's passing, he's given me the tools and motivation to take control of my life, do all that I said I would, not settle and pave a path through any obstacle that stands in my way. Thank you Antawani.
