In this new audio piece, eastern Kentucky resident Cory Coots explores his thoughts on how Kentucky’s coal severance tax is being spent by our state government, particularly in one recent case where $2.5 million dollars was directed toward the renovation of Rupp Arena. Cory has other ideas about the need for this money to be spent in his home of eastern Kentucky, where the coal is being mined.
