Soul Groove returns to Feedasoul Records with a cracking three-tracker. Jazz at Muniaka Club brings forward Soul Groove’s signature soulful sound that we’ve grown to love. Heavily rooted in Jazz, the EP title track highlights his downtempo rhythm alongside a groove-laden bassline, and heartfelt woodwinds, balanced by atmospheric pads and synths. Part 2 provides more bounce with his club rework of the track. Straight drums, movement-inducing percussion and building sax samples outline the artist’s symmetry between Jazz and House Music.

We are delighted to announce that July 2023 is the month in which you will finally be able to know the new Apparel Wax product: Apparel Wax Mini. The Mini catalogue (dedicated to 7-inch vinyl) fits into the narrative of our masked hero as a sort of prequel, as the 'Mini' vinyl represents the ‘childhood’ of Apparel Wax, his life before its music started to be heard around the world. Another novelty is that the first release is double. In fact, APLWAXMINI001 and 002 will drop on the same day, both containing two tracks, one on each side. With a physical product of different size, we have also adapted the graphic design of the project, as you’ll notice looking at the record. A new adventure begins in the world of the masked artist who, this time, will tell another musical story created by the now famous anonymous collective of phenomenal artists behind the project. APLWAXMINI001 is composed of two tracks perfect for the summer period, both with a very marked essence of lightness and groovy, both ideal to bring back the carefree and cheerful musical soul at the base of the project since its origins. Apparel Music Radio show is happy to present a exclusive evergreen mix by Delano Smith.
Delano's attention to programming sets that are kinetic, emotional and educational are met with a delivery of the highest class. Having been one of the original young guns personally mentored by Motown’s 1st DJ, Ken Collier, he displays skills entirely unique to this group. Having cut his teeth in a time when an aspiring DJ had to live off his wits to make the cut, his dynamic skill set has made him the real Detroit head's secret favorite. Smith's extended hiatus later in his DJ years was ended spectacularly when the Detroit Beatdown project again highlighted his talent. Teamed with Mike ‘Agent X' Clark and Norm Talley, the crew began to spread the word of Detroit to fresh audiences, in demand globally and touching down at renowned clubs such as London's Fabric en route.

On the production front, Delano stands head and shoulders above the rest in crafting alluring, forward thinking and highly danceable grooves. His productions on Third Ear, Sushitech and Still Music have taken up crate spaces with jocks looking to add the perfect blend of soul and energy to their sets. With his own imprint Mixmode debuting in 2003, it continues to release selectively soulful dance floor gems. Both behind the decks and in the studio, Delano's genre boundary defying vision of working a floor is a direct link to the beginnings of the DJ in Detroit, maintaining his integrity today, his hunger shows little sign of abating.

It can happen that things come together without too much planning. That's how Beno, Bernardo Campos and Gush ended up with Space Jazz EP. Three artists from Rio, all coming from slightly different corners of music, sitting down to play and letting themselves go. Bernardo has been around the block, playing in sweaty Rio clubs, the kind of gigs where you get a nod from a bunch of legends and realise you did your job right. He's carried that curiosity everywhere, from beach bars in Bahia to late-night residencies back home. Beno comes from a newer wave, restless, building labels, ideas, and pushing Brazilian electronic music as far as he could. And Gush, the jazz head who grew up in a house full of Musica Popular Brasileira, now turning all that heritage into keyboard lines that sound open and breezy. He's the little spice that make the dish better. Here's what these three minds are about: a small harmonic collision that just makes perfect sense. The EP is two tracks. Space Jazz, the opener, with the obvious title. There is a groove, there are keys, but it's more about the air between them. They converse. J All Night is even warmer, the kind of tune you keep close for when the night is stretching past reason. Both are simple, comforting. It's House music, after all, made by people, not machines. The record marks the 58th release on Apparel Music's EXTRA catalogue. EXTRA has been our corner for novelties for a while now, our way of scratching that itch to try things out. You can’t really pin down Plaisance, and that’s exactly the point. Fresh off their debut Coldie EP on Apparel, the French duo step into our 261th episode of the Apparel Radio series with a mix that feels like their music: somewhere between Paris nights and a Chicago basement, equal parts elegance and raw groove. It’s house with character, deep, and cool. Tom & Antoine don’t need to shout to be heard; they just set the vibe and let it ride.

You can’t really find Plaisance on a map, it’s more of a feeling. Somewhere between Paris nights and a Chicago basement party, that’s where “Coldie” lives. It’s the title track and single from Tom & Antoine’s debut EP, and it moves with that kind of quiet confidence that turns heads without trying too hard. The vibe is classic house with a fresh twist. Deep groove, tight rhythm, and then there’s Ua, whose voice just slides in and stays with you, like a thought that hits late at night when everything else goes quiet. Over in Mexico City, there is a boy named Mauhomme. He isn’t just a musician, he is a little wizard of sound. He plays many instruments, spins records, and turns tiny noises into music that makes everyone’s feet start moving. One day, he prepared a special gift called Écrit Pour Elle, ready to be shared with the world on November 28, 2025, through Apparel Music. The story begins with the title track, a tune with a big heart, full of harmonies that grow like climbing vines, carried by a rhythm that makes your chest beat like a drum. A nod to the mid 2010s house era, slightly lo fi and rich in harmonic progressions. Then comes Burnin, where voices play like children chasing each other, sparring in rhythm to build a joyful race that keeps the energy unstoppable. At the end comes Cheesy, a warm hug of layered voices and a bassline flowing smoothly like melted chocolate. True to Mauhomme’s style, rooted in Chicago’s jackin’ tradition but coloured with jazz, funk and soul textures, the EP balances imperfection and intimacy, weaving vintage drum machines, tape hiss and electric keys into tracks that echo the basement energy of honest house music. It is music with soul, made for dancing not to look perfect, but to feel the story and the warmth inside every note.

Adham Zahran isn’t just another name in house music, he’s one of those producers who seems born to it. Hailing from Egypt and growing up in Alexandria, young Adham began his musical journey listening to lots of minimal and house before learning production and music theory. His sound is steeped in an affection for house in all its shades and his musical influences resonate mainly from the Detroit culture and sound. Artists like Kyle Hall, Theo Parrish and Marcellus Pittman.

The forthcoming digital EP on Apparel Tronic ( APLTRONIC024 ) is the outcome of the work between two artists who form a creative pair but insist on not being defined as a duo. CK722 & Camillo Dal Forno, prefer to describe their practice as two distinct voices converging into a shared space. In this context, Trieste explores a surreal underwater landscape told through the perspective of the legendary eponymous bathyscaphe. Designed in Switzerland, built in Italy, and later serving in the United States Navy between 1958 and 1971, the Trieste became a symbol of human curiosity when it descended to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 1960, setting a depth record of 10,902 meters (35,768 feet). The EP translates that historic descent into sound, through four short but dense tracks: a fast immersion into discovery. Each track mirrors stages of this subaquatic journey, and textures unfold like sonar waves bouncing off invisible walls, basslines resonate as deep mechanical pulses, and melodies shimmer with the glow of organisms hidden underwater. The narrative is not one of nostalgia but of renewed wonder, and the record invites the audience to descend alongside: a sonic echo of the Trieste ’s daring plunge into the unknown.

Sounds Over Seas is ready to release its very first LP by label founder Julian Bainbridge. The album covers aspects of the Deep House genre in its classic definition, pushing certain boundaries, whilst maintaining the spirit of the genre through feeling and utilising melodies and rhythm to evoke emotions which go beyond the dance floor.

Natural Element proudly presents the long-awaited album The Paradigm Shift by one of Amsterdam’s finest and most prolific producers, Kid Sublime. Following on from the 12” single ‘You Got Me Runnin’’ which dropped in the summer, this 8 track, double LP offering is a special piece of work crafted during the pandemic years and Turbulence recording sessions with maestros Beka Gochiashvili and Mishulino.
The album showcases the evolution of Kid Sublime’s sound and the influence of London’s vibrant broken beat scene, with him having connected with some of the artists around the time of the passing of the legendary Phil Asher. It touches on house, bruk and even techno, with his signature soulful touch palpable across the whole record. Gaztween are Miguel Tenreiro and Tito Romão, two producers from Porto whose music orbits the kind of downtempo dub that seems made for late-night listening, when the city's gone quiet and you're left with just the hum of electronics. They've played Ferro, Maracujália, and even made it up to Malmö. Somewhere along the way they developed a sound that sits between the organic drift of Brazilian MPB and the more structured constructions of European electronic music.

'As If By Magic' is Michael Reinboth’s third release under his real name, produced with Jan Krause (Beanfield), and with a cover image by Ena Oppenheimer. A vibrant mid-tempo delight, the drums are played by Peter Gall, whose album “Love Avatar” was named “Best Jazz Album of 2024” by the German Jazz Awards. On keyboards is Roberto Di Gioia, mastermind of Web Web and Marsmobil. The package comes complete with an atmospheric remix from Moodorama, riding high on a wave of recent remixes for Jazzanova, Charles Petersohn, Beatkozina, and Inkswel.

Ironically created during the depths of the producer’s first bleak Berlin winter, the track was born out of a vision of European summer euphoria—something that felt like a hazy, augmented reality at the time.
There’s no evidence of the winter malaise in Just Relax Records’ second official release. Calming piano chords and warm guitar twangs work together to both settle your mind and spark anticipation for the night ahead. "Just because you call your song "Lost in Detroit" doesn't mean you're necessarily from Detroit. That's the case here, though, and I'll admit I wouldn't have guessed without looking it up. That track, first up on this excellent EP, is Delano Smith's, and it's got enough of a basic fuzzy quality—that filmy kind of filtering that gives things a shade of static, a purposeful analog feel—that it could have come from just about anywhere that sort of thing is in vogue, which is probably just about anywhere house reigns supreme. But that alien zone is increasingly crowded, and Smith's touches of stick percussion kick it up a couple places. Smith's reworking of Gavin Herlihy's "Krypton Faktor" is similarly cool, but here the beat carries a lot more tonnage. The drums are fiercely articulated and a big synth riff joins two minutes in just to amp things up for real. Herlihy's original "Krypton Faktor" is different again: lengthy, ruminative, spooky in texture without being a forbidding listen. Plain and Simple TV

What does it sound like? 
A little slice of quality, deep but not dull tech courtesy of US producer Delano Smith and Briton Gavin Herlihy. The EP is dominated by its title track thanks to an additional remix, but does come with a well worth buying B-side. Starting with the A though things are comparable to Siesta's hey day and the tougher, more electro edges of the old West Coast sound, meaning driving but groovy basslines and inviting percussion abounds, while there's also an obvious techno zeitgeist in the brew too. Smith's own remix reduces the stabbed tempo and opts for a cosmic disco workout that's no less reliant on the low end than its predecessor was. Then there's Lost In Detroit, which falls somewhere in between the mechanical soul of said city's newcomers and Stacey Pullen's smooth techy stylings, capped off with a guy saying something hypnotic. Just don't ask us what it's got to do with the 1980s TV series.

Where would I dance to it? 
Anywhere and everywhere, particularly after Villalobos apparently dropped both original and remix when Herlihy passed him a copy at a gig in Leeds.

What highlights can I expect to hear? 
For us Lost In Detroit is the winner, as is anything that boasts such rhythm. Dark, dirty, and with all the hallmarks of classic tech house this is one all sides of the four four camp can get down to.

Why should I pay for it? 
As ever it's a question of morality.

Apparel Music's Apparel Wax label unveils 'LP001', the debut album from the imprint featuring a collection of mysterious tracks without artist names attached, a motif included with all of the label's releases since inception. Here Mixmag presents the exclusive premiere of 'LP001C1', an deep house ballad possessing a sensual and emotive essence.

As the label describes: "For this double vinyl LP we picked amongst the different souls that house music has got, from disco to lo-fi, always focusing on our 'jazzy' watermark and giving the opportunity to the artists to prove their interpretative skills on this theme once again."

'LP001' is set for release February 18.

Jazzy Tourism is the first work that establish Apparel Music in the electronic music market. Apparel seeks to combine differents hemispheres, trying to impress on vinyl every mood and emotion. Every song is built for narrow audience, mental, impatient, just like jazz, get something of magical on the dance floor. The original mixes offers a simple way to structure and pushing the batteries, deep bass, funny reasons to open the way for jazzy. Kisk is a good media between sound and audience; working properly jazz samples , as if this was made for his own style. Lopazz & Zarook’s remixes are placed on a road whose direction is the catharsis. One more reason to discover huge basses that fill up the stomach slowly, till to corrode any space, We can define it ‘psyco deep’. SCSI-9 surprise us with special effects, supporting theyr grooves, with the exception of a saxophonist (Prof. Morriarti) and an unforgettable motive wich of course weíll sing under the shower. The vinyl close with Yapacc’s version wich bring us into the funky minimal’s world, towards dark moments weíll arrive in the room of lights. Clubby!
