Appetizer / Episode 120 / The other side of the Andes

Vega (AU) is a longtime electronic music enthusiast with a flair for deep, organic, melodic and progressive house. Based in Melbourne, Australia, his sound is influenced by a range of labels including All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Shanti Radio, The Soundgarden, 3rd Avenue, The Purr and Meanwhile Recordings, and is naturally drawn to track selections that evoke an emotive and atmospheric tone. 

After making his club debut at 'my aeon' as support for the Genix [Anjunabeats] - 199X album tour, he has since gained monthly residencies at some of Melbourne's most popular bar offerings including the Ibiza themed 'Arbory Afloat' and the 'Music Room' at HER as a member of @floatingdreamsmusic. 

Floating Dreams are a collective of Melbourne based DJs who specialise in organic, melodic and deep house, where they have  played as support for All Day I Dream artists Sébastien Léger and Double Touch, with several exciting announcements to come in 2023.

Matt Saz’s sets are dreamy, deep & emotional. His discovery of electronic music back in circa 2006 was thanks to the iconic Ministry of Sound compliations. From these early years of EDM he has since developed a love (or maybe obsession?) with life in the clouds (organic house) and all the labels associated, such as All Day I Dream, TRYBESof, Tale & Tone, Shanti Moscow Radio. 

Matt’s favourite artists include Volen Sentir, Nohan, Madraas, MissFeat, Mass Digital, Amonita, George X, Double Touch, VieL, Death on the Balcony. 

Matt’s DJing highlights include supporting Double Touch [All Day I Dream, TRYBESof], Sébastien Léger [All Day I Dream / Lost Miracle], Fede Pals [3rd Avenue; The Purr], & James Beetham [Late Night Music]. Matt has current residencies at Arbory Afloat and Music Room Melbourne.

Hello and welcome to our 5th Exclusive Series (with Subcode) of 2023. Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists. Each month we highlight each of our DJ's, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month.

May 2023 saw Glenn Molloy take to the decks, with a Gorgonoize set. Glenn always brings a wide range of genres to his set's, often mixing in his own unreleased projects, alongside guaranteed floor fillers, creating a vibe unique to him.

Glenn Molloy is a Dublin-based DJ/producer specialising in melodic house and techno (as Gorgonoize). A fan of the scene since as far back as he can remember, sneaking into his brother's room to listen to rave mixtapes as a kid!

To Glenn, the transition from clubbing to DJing occurred fluidly and naturally, and he soon began to work as a resident DJ for a number of city centre venues, gaining warm up gigs for national festivals, and a weekly radio show on TWO of Dublin’s best underground stations over time.

Glenn is now collaborating with fellow Dubliners Soulfinder and Khankra on an events brand called Fusion Underground and is finally realising his ambitions. He has music under two aliases on OLD SQL, Mirabilis, Pro B Tech, and BC2 as Glenn Molloy, plus a release under his tougher tech nom de plume, Gorgonoize, on Opilec music. 

Glenn has also recently realised a dream of his, with a release on global superstar and scene icon Paul Oakenfold's lauded Perfecto Black marque, and with that release was also asked to DJ before the Perfecto legend at a recent gig in Cork, Ireland. Glenn warmed a near capacity crowd up to fever pitch with his own brand of dancefloor mayhem!

For over a decade, Adnan Jakubovic has been involved in the electronic music production scene. He boasts the titles of being the owner of Big Bells Records & Big Bells Digital, as well as the creator of the renowned Big Bells Podcast series on Proton Radio, based in Los Angeles. Throughout the past ten years, Adnan has collaborated with notable producers such as Mahmut Orhan, Jelly For The Babies, Nicholas Van Orton, Loquai, Aman Anand, and various esteemed labels including Bonzai Music, BC2 Records, Just Movement, Balkan Connection, and DAR Digital, among others. Adnan's musical style primarily encompasses Progressive House, melodic Techno & House, Deep House, Deep Tech, and Progressive Trance.

Having performed at his debut Amsterdam Dance Event in 2018, Adnan has graced numerous festivals and events across Europe. Currently residing and operating in Stuttgart, Germany, Adnan has meticulously curated a remarkable collection of melodic, organic, and progressive house music specifically for the 15th edition of Groove Tales.
