Applefish is the ambient electronica project of Nik Davies, a musician and producer whose work is best described as a fusion of space ambient, downtempo, and electronica, with substantial cross-pollination from drone, psychill, and modern classical genres. The space ambient descriptor is especially apt—much of Applefish's discography explores cosmic and astronomical themes, guiding listeners through ethereal voyages and otherworldly realms. Drawn to celestial themes, Applefish is known for interlacing immersive atmospheres with subtle yet evocative melodic lines and layered, shimmering textures, intentionally evoking a sense of deep introspection and cosmic vastness.

Based in the UK but engaged globally through digital platforms and international label networks, Applefish’s output also spans broader curatorial and label activities. As A&R for Valley View Records, Ambient Soundscapes and Echoes in the Valley, Applefish has worked with a great part of the ambient community fostering collaboration and shaping the ambient scene at large.
