Early in 2025, composer Frank Ilfman and avant-garde sound collective Sonitus Mortis have joined forces to release MOTUS, a genre-defying album that merges cinematic orchestration with experimental soundscapes. Now available on all major streaming platforms, MOTUS explores the emotional momentum of the human experience, blending melancholy strings, immersive ambient textures, and unsettling sonic motifs.
Sonitus Mortis introduces a raw, often spectral edge, resulting in a visceral listening experience that is both meditative and unsettling.

"MOTUS is movement through memory," Ilfman says. "It’s about how sound can carry emotion, time, and even ghosts."

MOTUS is more than an album—it's an audial film, a sonic elegy, and a bold statement in contemporary composition.
