In a sea of thousands of dance music labels, Gottwood Festival have proven their worth with their Gottwax imprint. Their compilations EP1 and EP2 have boasted seminal summertime numbers from Ruf Dug, Cottam, Rob Amboule and more. Now, Gottwax's forthcoming EP3 consists of four new tracks cut on bright orange acetate by Ponty Mython, Krywald & Farrer and Bonar Bradberry – and a welcome return for Appleblim. Relishing in our fortune to have a first listen, it is the four-four iridescence of Appleblim's "Phosphene" that stands out most. An epic homecoming for the Bristolian producer who has otherwise kept relatively quiet as of late, setting sail suitably on the third Gottwax ship.

EP3 drops via Gottwax on 16th April.

The first track I mixed down on my own in a long time, I'm still not 100% about it, but it seems to go down OK on the floors : ) This was made for Ryan O'Gorman of Vitalik and Burlington Project and the We Love Sundays at Space crew in Ibiza, who kinfly booked me to play at the mega club Space in Ibiza, and have supported me and given me some very cherished moments and memories indeed - not least seeing Jeff Mills abuse his 909 in the main room last year! OOOSSHT!

Had a wicked little version with a VIP vocal from Riko Dan of Roll Deep (one of my fave ever MCs) on it which unfortunately because of my weird arrangement he came in on a beat late for the whole tune : ( so near and yet so far! woulda sounded sick too!

When we heard of his secret passion for Jungle we had the idea to have him play such a set for us once. You can imagine how proud and happy we were, when it happened. Many people came down to witness this rare thing on a Sunday afternoon and it was a blast. Enjoy the recording!

Gantz debuts on Exit Records with two tracks that set him apart from his contemporaries. This release sits perfectly on the label, Gantz has captured the essence of what Exit Records is whilst also moving his artistry further. He delivers two vocal tracks, Garam ft Amos and Rabid ft. Elif Dikec. Amos is a part of A/T/O/S, a duo with a discography that included an album on Deep Medi, Elif Dikec is a classically trained musician and a producer in her own right.

It might well have been her set at Freerotation in summer 2018 that really got people talking about Gigsta. It was there that the hardcore heads in the crowd were all abuzz with her fresh mix of heavy bass, house funk, off kilter rhythms and kinked synths. Since then she has become more and more visible at key parties round Europe, not only as resident at Berlin's Room 4 Resistance but also through her painstakingly researched and assembled radio shows for Cashmere, where she takes cues from literature, NASA launches, spoken word pieces and plenty more.

As the eagled-eyed will know, Gigsta has already been confirmed for Dekmantel Selectors in August, but to keep us going until then she has served up a special mix for us. You never know what you'll get with the Belgian artist, it could be hard and fast, could be grime, or could be garage. Here she goes for creepy and unsettling ambiance that eventually gets contorted into warped bass music, hyperactive club, hammering techno and euphoric jungle. It shows an unrivalled command of tempo and makes for a real seat-of-your pants ride.
