Going up? 

The inspiration to do this mix got pretty much initiated when I was thinking about the progress over the technological revolution what humanity has witnessed over the last few millenias. The outstanding effort to evolve as species through knowledge is what gives a promising framework of potentiality for mankind's future. 

But not without setbacks and heavy burdens when it comes to these dramatic changes in the climate that we've boosted and set in motion, and thus becoming the biggest challenge we must overcome. It's a long, bumpy road, We must take to succeed!

This mix was also very much build and motivated with the visionary images from the futuristic skyscraper city landscapes and then continued even further to the space exploration and thus the overall idea of humanity's potential trough science and technology as - a new hope to thrive!

Starting from a bit melancholic atmosphere in a rainy midnight neon city lights and building it to a new dawn filled with uplifting excitement and emerging new hope with awareness that not even the sky's the limit for human race(s).

Dani Lehman – Live at Dirty Epic Anthology Movement Closing Party (26.05.2015) – 12:15AM

Aphotic Relics are documentations of artistic expression occurring beyond the reach of light. This music series features exclusive live recordings of performances from deep within the Brooklyn New York underground movement.

California’s Dirty Epic organized the official Movement 2015 closing party, Anthology, at The Works, where Aphotic proudly hosted the outdoor patio.  Also being showcased that evening, New York’s own The Bunker.

The outdoor patio at The Works was in full swing by the time Aphotic resident, Dani Lehman graced the decks. Her percussive and imposing selections only served to tease the patrons on the opposite side of the fence eagerly waiting to enter this final techno binge for the weekend. Never one to let up, Dani delivered this concise but noteworthy set.

Bio:
Dorian Gray (aka Moreno from Italy) takes his name from the infamous Oscar Wilde character who trades his soul for an eternal life of sinful debauchery. And indeed the heady world of underground club music can sometimes feel like this! The intensity of this dark concept is expertly weaved into the deep techno sound of Dorian Gray where Moreno keeps a strong focus on meticulous ambient loops moving into hypnotic techno rhythms. Moreno’s early influences hark back to the dark electronic 80s new wave sound but there are also jazz influences which have helped him coin the descriptive term of “afro-futurist techno”. Production work aside, (noteworthy his last outing with Edit Select Remix), Moreno firmly states that his first love is DJing where he continues to push forward, proving his talent through winning competitions and taking on various booking across Europe, in his native Italy and trips to his home from home, Berlin. Among the Labels on which he produces there are Android Muziq (AUS), Circular Limited (ESP), and many others.

isolatedmix 60 - Porya Hatami

Cio Dorbandt is a part of German techno’s furniture. Born in Hannover, she can now be found in Cologne, while over the course of a lengthy career she has stamped her mark on cities across the country, and many other spots further afield. Made a resident at Munich’s infamous Ultraschall in 2001, she had also spent much of her youth pursuing her aspiration to become a dancer in ‘80s Berlin—a place she now frequents for gigs at the likes of Berghain, Tresor, and ://about blank​, following a wave of international recognition in the late ‘00s.

With years of experience behind the decks, studio work came a little later for Dorbandt. Releasing on Prologue, Semantica and more, her sound as Cio D'Or was recognized as central in a wave of minimal, hypnotic techno producers, encompassing characters like Mike Parker, Sleeparchive and Donato Dozzy (with whom she has often worked alongside). More recently, she has turned her attention to a broader spectrum of styles, bouncing between dub and ambient soundscapes, with the focus directed on sound design. Her most recent album, All In All, was some of her most experimental work yet, diving head first into a world of piano composition and cinematic music, as well as the regular dancefloor fodder. Not prepared to confine her talents to record though, she has also orchestrated a choreography project alongside Brigitta Muntendorf entitled PULSA:RE, combining the work of an ensemble with a DJ set—yet another string on her musical bow. D’Or steps up for this week’s podcast, with a dramatic hour long mix of experimental techno sounds that gives a sense of where she is at right now.

Welcome to the 116th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. This weeks set is mixed by Swedish DJ Eyvind Blix. 

Introduction:

Eyvind Blix is a Stockholm-based producer and DJ, who released his first ep through Physical Techno Records early this March.

Three years ago he moved to Stockholm and it didn't take long until he discovered the underground scene and great clubs such as "The Office". It opened the door to techno he had never heard before.

After winning a web-based DJ competition by "Parklife" he got invited to play at his first open-air party and later, several other underground clubs invited him to play.

Eyvind views DJing cinematically: "I build my scenery purposefully; I fill it with rhythm, atmosphere and dark industrial sounds. It's like building a puzzle, each track has it's own part in completing it. If you place your pieces right it will give the audience a complete, organic and pulsating experience. For me Techno is about limbos, matras, weird rythms and sounds, being in that will take me to a deeper level of consciousness".

Podcast 011 :  Hiver.

Giuseppe and Sergio were born in the same town, and eventually both moved to Milan where they started working on music together. 
Labels began to show interest in their productions, and then they released their first EP “A Day” on vidab records in 2012. 
Following the well acclamated release on Curle Recordings “Blue Aconite” EP featuring a Tobias remix, this pair of Italian commenced to get booked all over Europe. 2014 was a determining year for Hiver with sets at Panorama Bar, Dimensions Festival, Gare Porto and in Rio de Janeiro, along with one more EP on Vidab. 
In 2015 another release on Curle followed, and appearance on Kann, Appian Sounds and Bokhari records as well. 
Apart from music production, they hold a residency at the prestigious DUDE CLUB Club in Milan since 2012.
Richard Brophy from Juno Plus wrote: “the middle ground between US and European electronic music is where the work of Hiver exists.”

Most of the mix includes vinyl, except the first track and the last one which is our own, still unreleased.

This months set is created and mixed by one of the most respected Dark Ambient producers: Kammarheit. 
With this set he presents his most well known tracks in one amazing piece. A dark and sometimes melancholic feeling in a apocalytic setting takes the listener into his musical world.

Bio:

Kammarheit is a well respected dark ambient project by Pär Boström, currently living in Umeå in the north of Sweden.

The project started in 2000 as a way to explore and re-create a certain atmosphere – a post apocalyptic stillness among majestic subterranean halls, deep chasms and abandoned places. Initially the project also functioned as a means to ease insomnia and to drift in and out of sound. With no musical education the atmosphere became the focal point, using what little equipment he had at the moment. Throughout the years Pär has mastered a music that is both apocalyptic and soothing, a kind of numinous and meditative ambience.

Emanuele Pertoldi was born in a small village in the North East of Italy. Since he was a child he had a strong passion for music and it became stronger and stronger. He took a degree in Modern Music - Music Production in Bologna.
Sound research, creativity and passion are the keys of his tracks.
In 2013 he started a new alias, S/EXP (Shaded Explorer), with the aim to represent himself in a more intimate way. The description of the project says: "S/EXP lives in a place where the music is hidden behind a dense fog and dreams are suffocated by an unpromising reality. This stimulates him to continue his research of magical places around the world, being them ethereal landscapes, deep cenotes or blue seas. In those places he discovered and created new sounds, melodies and rhythms that melted together create soundscapes for escape."The first release is an album on Eclipsemusic that was also played live by him (just with hardware) at Club To Club in Turin, one of the most representative festivals in Italy. Following this concept in 2014 he founded his own intimate imprint Shaded Explorations.
Now he's one of the great mask of ambient music and deep sounds, especially after the release on Silent Season and Kabalion Records.

Kevin Verwijmeren is a 24 years old physics student and electronic musician currently based in Delft, The Netherlands. Around the year 2013 he really started to develop music on a more serious level. His aim is to make music in such a way that when certain melodies and patterns are combined, create a landscape of sound(s).
