We were talking on voice chat humming the checkmate motif out of nowhere and I randomly decided "That's it, I'm making a new cover for checkmate" and that's where we get this upload!

Apocalyptic Samba – Uppföljaren

När Samba of State Chaos ebbade ut låg landet i ruiner. Riksdagens väggar var sotade, plenisalens bänkar sönderslagna av blastbeats, och gatorna vibrerade ännu av congasens ekon. Folket hade dansat sig trasiga i kaosets karneval.

Men ur askan reste sig något nytt. Rytmen blev mörkare, tyngre – inte längre politisk parodi, utan ren undergång. Där Samba of State Chaos hade varit ett uppror, var Apocalyptic Samba en domedagsprofetia.

Congasen var nu en helig trumma, vars slag kallade fram andarna från det förlorade riket.

Gitarrerna skar genom rök och eld som domedagens sirener.

Saxofonen skrek inte längre som ett jazzigt infall, utan som ett larmhorn från världens sista karnevalståg.

Och growlen hade slutat ropa lagparagrafer – nu ropade den apokalypsens evangelium.

Sambadansarna var kvar, men deras fjädrar hade förvandlats till aska, deras leenden till demonmasker. Det var inte längre ett kaos i staten – det var slutet för hela världen.

När den sista låten spelades, när infernot slöt sig runt rytmen, uppenbarade sig sanningen:
Apocalyptic Samba var ingen fest. Det var sista dansen innan allt slocknade.

Och i mörkret, bland lågorna, stod Nordic Soul Syndicate som de sista musikerna vid världens ände.
