At the launch of our night "We Hate These Bands" we released a double single of The Happisburg Address and Take the Matterhorn. 

Our first album which was self titled was also democratically mixed which means that most of the tracks are a complete mess however Hero and The Bluest Line turned out okay and represent the best early period apples pretty well.

And On the Scaffolding was finally recorded as part of The Dave's solo album.

Apples for Everyone were in some ways more a concept than a band. In 2005 they assembled together around the idea of being a large band full of different musical styles and approaches that came together to make something. They carried on in various line-ups and combinations for 5 or 6 years. They took a democratic or collective approach to making music which may or may not have been a good idea. The band included producers as equal members and songs written by everyone. They gigged a hell of a lot. Sometimes they recorded and released music. Sometimes those recordings captured something of the band. This is a best of put together by their founding member Dave Pickering. It represents not the best songs that they made but his subjective opinion of the best recordings of songs that they made.
