I found a travel notebook from a trip to Texas (and a couple of others in there) but there was one trip to Dallas that had some highlights. It was a last hoorah as we neared the end of our beloved Kristi's life. Our  friend, mentor and manager. I wrote the beginning of her eulogy while in Dallas. After finding the pages, I went ahead and recorded to finally share as her funeral didn't lend the opportunity. I am pretty sure after I read what I wrote, I ended up having a conversation with her in my heart. I could feel her in my studio space. It became quite passionate, quite meaningful - the message I think she has for us.

New Year Eulogy

There are a lot of different ways people think about connection, especially when it come to obstacles in the way of even one's own willingness to connect with their physical body. In this recording, the meditation offered is simple. For those entering into a season of intentionality and acceptance, be encouraged to let the inner critics and controlling fears and anxiety come and go while you courageously enter in the silence. Know that when you create stillness in order to hear the ever kind and loving voice of God, you strengthen your recognition of God's love for you as you allow yourself to be seen by seeing yourself.

In reflecting on that in light of the California Wildfires, I share what I learned about intentional burning of forests and the three main things that occur because of that. The post provides a little encouragement to assess your attachment to things (like Facebook) in order to learn a little bit about how to trust the death and rebirth cycle avail in life. Should be short. Simple. Sweet.
