We've got a hugely exciting mix landing for number 8 in our TFS series, with my favourite DJ in the world right now @barbaraboeing taking us in to cruising altitude with a phenomenal collection of music that's rocking her world right now.

Through the course of just under an hour she takes us through a roaring selection of proper party tunes from all around the world, giving us the highest energy mix of the series so far, presented in her superbly slick and smooth style.

She was supposed to be joining us back in early April for what would have been our 2nd birthday party, but nature had other ideas unfortunately. We've rescheduled and she'll be with us in November, but for now give this absolute riot of a mix a spin and throw yourselves around your living spaces.

A lot of us DJ, have a radio show or produce music and now we wanted to highlight some of our colleagues and give you an insight into what each of one us like.  In the ongoing lockdown, we wanted to shine a light on some our dedicated crew. 
First up is Govind aka Kylin Tyce - who you will find working most weekends at the shop. This week, it is with great pleasure that we can bring you a mixtape selected from an impressive record collection, complied bu dedicated crate digger, and true purveyors of global sounds: La Casa Tropical.

Hailing from Toronto, but spending lots of their of time in Johannesburg where the record label has taken its deep rooted musical influence, La Casa Tropical crew are on a mission to release and reissue the feel good party gems that they have discovered on their African adventure. 

No wonder then, that our past guest REES opened his Bside account with this sunny song from their 2018 reissue of Bayete’s Blue Monday, just a little taste of the amazing music they have discovered in South Africa :
