Hailing from Italy, Belgium, Brazil, and the US, Aptera rose from the seas in 2018 to join forces in Berlin. With Michela Albizzati on guitars and vocals, Celia Paul on bass and vocals, Renata Helm on guitar, and Sara Neidorf on drums, Aptera plays a mix of doom, sludge, psych, thrash, and classic metal glued together with punk grit, evoking Messa, Mastodon, Windhand, and Sabbath. Weaving together contemporary and mythological tales of rebellion, revenge, and reclaiming power, Aptera is a guttural cry that will lure you to your destruction. Following the release of their self-titled EP (2019), their LP “You Can’t Bury What Still Burns” is forthcoming in spring 2022.
