Stripped and ripe with mischief, Kassamba conjures a blend of darkly oscillating voodoo House: otherworldly, sinister, irresistibly danceable. ‘Marijuana’ whisks the listener on a hazy journey through revolving harmonics, crashing white-noise drums, and growling synth impacts that cut through the haze like booming circuit-bent boat horns. Vivid and psychedelic, Marijuana is a heady journey through a haze of dancefloor energies anchored by a pulverizing focal point. ‘Hipérbole’ is quintessential Peve—intricate, shuffling grooves and flanging blips engage a captivating ensemble of metallic plucks, arcing tremolo pulses, and feedback-laced impacts.
