A year after TINNITVS, our double anniversary compilation, we’re happy to present TINNITVS : RELAPSE, an extension of the original edition with remixes by members of the Global URL Nation.

The full release will be out on December 1st! Meanwhile, discover SNKLS take on Content Corruption. In this one, SNKLS flips the original composition of Gwia Ekim & indigoblue with heavy glitches and broken rhythms, recreating a whole ethereal dreamscape of its own. If computers could dream, this would probably be close to this gem.

For the new Arma release Ena explores different, distinct facets of his sound across three productions. “Pale” distills his vision of techno as a minimalist, repetitive construct. Working around non-standard time signatures, he creates a densely woven lattice of percussive pulses, which cut a polyrhythmic path through nightmarish sheets of noise. “Secondary Color” uses a broader palette that opens the Ena sound up to the light,,, “Wired” heads further away from the grid in pursuit of sound design exploration, as a rack of pipes and chambers strike, boom and chime against artful distortion and cavernous reverb. While Ena has historically been hesitant about remixes of his material, he warmed to the idea of long-time Arma friend JASSS reworking “Wired”. Taking the track into her own fiercely individual sound world, she uses the harmonic tonality of the original as a jump-off point for an epic, emotionally forthright chiller loaded with coldwave bombast, trap hats and Silvia’ own voice.

Coming from entirely different angles of approach, Ena and JASSS are bound together by their fearless individuality. You can sense the slithers of pre-existing music somewhere in their constructions, but such familiarities are no more than faint echoes of places they passed through on their way to somewhere new.

Based in Budapest, Hungary, EXILES is among the finest record labels in the field of experimental electronics which has been releasing music of outstanding quality as far back as 2017. After a crazy amount of stunning outings (we counted 18 in 2020 only!), the Hungarian hub is already at its second one for 2021 keeping on with their prolific and essential productions. We're talking about Sirens, the latest various artists compilation focusing on intense compositions of thick, inventive, and vocal-rich sound experiments, or, as to put it in the label's own words, on the "sonic exploration of maritime fantasies".

The album, out later this week, is composed of twenty enticing, vaporous yet explosive tracks gathered in the output of limited-edition tapes featuring artwork by Melinda Doktor (object), Adrienn Császár (typing), and Iza Nagy (photography), with the cassette/digital mastering respectively curated by István Tanka (Direct) and Roland Nagy (Fausto Mercier). The Sirens comp includes the contributions of some of the finest contemporary producers and sound designers in the scene, such as Yuryung Sound Corp co-founder Arexibo, modular synths master Evil Medvěd, extraordinary composer and insanely skilled visual artist DIGITONICA, and Chinabot-affiliated Sabiwa, among others.

Today, we're glad to be premiering the piece called CLL by Shayu (she/her), appearing on the first side of the tape. Coming on the scenes in 2018 with her debut EP 'Liang' on Files Rec, followed the next year by the five-tracker EP 'All The Way Through' on the London-based Coyote Records, Shayu is an experimental musician and multimedia artist currently based in Zurich who is reportedly interested in investigating ways of juxtaposing, merging, and morphing abstract sound paintings with concrete soundscapes and a percussive drive.

Shayu's highly dynamic piece combines a wide range of sounds such as reverberated vocals, piercing percussions, and shattered kickdrums, arrayed in rich textures that craft a complex sound artifact standing somewhere between analog synth ambiance, baroque music, and bass-infused, club-oriented outbursts. In particular, her main inspiration comes from grime's production techniques which over the years have brought up and developed the unprejudiced taste for layered compositions of various audio sources.

This compilation was made by beautiful humans from all around the world. It is a collection of 11 varied tracks. It is noisy, experimental, sometimes brutal, with choir, different languages, vocals, piano and drums... While the tracks are all different, they are united by the fight against domestic violence.

As you may know, this pandemic is a nightmare for women facing domestic and sexual abuse. In many situations they have been forced into lockdown with their abuser.

The money raised on Bandcamp will go to La Fédération Nationale Solidarité Femmes, a French charity helping women in distress. Please consider buying this release if you appreciate it and spread the word about the current situation.
