Irrealidades is the new album from Mexican scene stalwart Bryan Dálvez, El Irreal Veintiuno on Infinite Machine. Although his reputation is well-established at home through EPs and tracks on NAAFI, Subreal and Infinite Machine itself, Irrealidades comes across as his boldest and most cohesive statement yet.

The album is a kaleidoscopic survey of Mexico’s rich sonic landscape, as well as an ambitious attempt to encompass the country’s historical becoming: from the rich, imagined sounds of pre-hispanic times to its current war-torn reality.

But an academic pursuit this isn’t and this is still very much music for the body. From the get-go, drums burn and rhythms gallop; sharp, aggressive synths insist and prod. Un respiro, the album’s mid-point gives us exactly that, a breather, albeit an emotionally charged one. Soon enough the second half of the record returns to polyrhythmic fury and ravey turbulence. We reach fever pitch on closer Minorías, envisioned by Bryan as a sonic representation of the eschaton: “the last track is merely the end of everything”.

Throughout the record disjointed voices loop endlessly before managing to articulate a single intelligible word. Maybe, Irrealidades seems to say, we are also caught in a loop, unable to break out from the cycle of violence and marching irredeemably (but with healthy curiosity) into The End, when Quetzalcóatl makes his glorious return.

El Irreal Veintiuno - Karma

STAR REMIX EP featuring the creative interpretations of four talented producers. J.4αllε ('θ') ϶r, B E N N, evie, and rgry have each added their unique touch to the mix, experimenting with sampling and remixing techniques to create a collection of four diverse tracks. The EP is organized in chronological order based on the "listening experience year" of each remix.

Through the eyes of these four producers, the original track "STAR" has been deconstructed and reconstructed, resulting in an immersive musical journey that captures the memories of a lifetime of music exploration. With its dynamic range of styles and musical transformations, the EP offers listeners a glimpse of "STAR" from different perspectives.

Kicking off the EP is the innovative work of J.4αllε ('θ') ϶r, who infuses the remix with his signature ambient and electronic dance sound. Inspired by the word "Star," the remix creates a spacious soundscape that simulates a night sky filled with colorful stars in a prairie of chirping insects and birds.

Next up is B E N N, the founder of Taipei's experimental bass music label, Over My Body. His remix of "STAR" is a brilliant fusion of breakbeat, bass, and half-time rhythms, creating a stunning galactic dance floor. With each layer of low-frequency beats and thrilling sound effects, the remix takes the listener on a thrilling journey through space and time.

evie's remix is a Drum&Bass and skrillex-style masterpiece that highlights the song's lyrics, "Shooting Star," with its speed and interstellar atmosphere. The track takes listeners on a journey through the awakening of SOWUT, from floating in space to wandering through vast forests and grasslands. The transition from the first drop to the second is a spectacular moment that transports the listener to an unknown planet, and the haunting and suspenseful atmosphere is punctuated by moments of discovery and wonder.

Finally, the EP is brought to a close with the masterful remix of rgry. The track is divided into multiple segments, with electronic and future bass sounds that combine to create a rich and vibrant STAR world. Unlike the original track's somber tone, rgry's remix is lively and uplifting, with a bright rhythm that paints a colorful and spectacular parallel universe.

Together, the four producers have created an EP that celebrates the shared belief of all creators: tenacity, passion, the burning of life, and the courage to explore the unknown. Join us on this musical journey and experience "STAR" like never before!

Within the span of a year, Tallinn-based club night series and creative collective Shelter has managed to rally dozens of electronic musicians from all corners of the world to an unexpected meeting point by the Baltic Sea. By curating club nights that showcase local talents aside some of the brightest minds in electronic music today, Shelter has undeniably played a significant role in revitalizing Tallinn’s club scene.

More importantly, Shelter uses its platform to shed light on some of the worst humanitarian crises currently plaguing our planet. Beyond covering event costs, ticket sales proceeds from Shelter Showcase events have been directed to organizations who provide resources to those in need, including the Ottawa Black Diaspora Coalition in Ukraine and the Rebuilding Alliance in Palestine.

To celebrate 1 year of building bridges between communities and incubating forward-thinking electronic music, Shelter presents Feyrûse: a compilation album featuring 17 tracks by an intercontinental melting pot of musicians, majority of whom have graced the dancefloors of Shelter.

Feyrûse aims to capture increasing unity within the global electronic music community. The musical styles represented on the album are as varied as its diverse cast of artists, ranging from purpose-built hybrid club to serene and blissful melodic rituals.

A beautiful concept of WeTransa – led by their motto: “uniting producers, creating community” – came to life almost exactly one year ago with the release of ‘Primera Transa’, joint effort between Martin.pdf and Syntrovert. Now the idea of bringing together two artists to create three collaborative tracks continues with the intercontinental cooperation uniting Berlin-based VHS Afrika with Argentina’s KRXNX who as one came up with a collection of heavy and avant-garde pieces of underground electronic music, a characteristic that is perfectly showcased by the absorbing song ‘Deisidaimonia’.
