Benjamín González (38), nacido y criado en Santa Cruz de Tenerife es reconocido por ser uno de los máximos exponentes del género “Garage” en España y respetado por muchos artistas a nivel internacional.

Comenzó a pinchar música electrónica a la edad de 13 años centrándose principalmente en el sonido Breakbeat Hardcore, muy arraigado en toda la juventud tinerfeña de ese momento. Justo un año después, en 1999, se interesó plenamente por la música que a día de hoy sigo compartiendo con todos mis seguidores: 2Step-Garage.

Considerado un defensor y purista del género sus sesiones abarcan todos los subgéneros dentro del Garage, siempre comprendido entre los 128-135BPM. Aún habiéndose criado musicalmente con el sonido 2Step más “animado y bailón” actualmente se enfoca en las producciones más crudas y originales del momento, siempre en busca del sonido más puro del género.

Ha tenido la oportunidad de pinchar su música en muchos clubs de la isla conocidos por todos como: Plastic Fantastic, K-Tira Beach, Kaché Disco, Crows Nest, Eleven (Bobby’s Club), Coco’s (Tramps), Cubik, Banda Aparte, Barock, Nooctua, El Rincón De Tintín y destacando sus casi dos años explotando su propio evento mensual “Back To Verónicas” en Berlin 89. También ha podido colaborar en muchas radios nacionales e internacionales tales como Rinse FM France, Insomniac, Mode Radio London, Boogie Bunker Radio o la que fue una de las emisoras más influyentes de finales de los +90: Super 7 Radio.

El compromiso actual de DJ Chester es mantenerse fiel a su estilo #SexyMusicForSexyPeople y romper las barreras musicales que separan distintas generaciones.
