Aqute Couch was first formed at Bretton Hall Uni back in 1998 by Mimi Lane and Vicky McGhee.  In 1999 they were joined by double bassist Justin Foster http://soundcloud.com/oscilliard , and shortly after that guitarist Ben Faulks. Though initially based in Wakefield, they often giged in Manchester, Leeds, London and Cornwall. There second album recording was released on EB Music in 2001.
