Peo Watson and Bijou Williams have known each other for 20 years now. In 2004, they produced "Chicago 72” together. It was released only on vinyl with 500 copies, going through record stores and being passed around ... Until May 2018 when the public discovered it during the ‘Cercle’ of Solomun session. In the magnificent Orange Roman Theatre, Solomun played "Chicago 72" as an introduction in his set.

This exposure & irony of history pushed Peo & Bijou to return to writing: Kimshies is now reborn and back with surprising releases on labels with which they share real musical acuity as Nein, Aeon or Duro.

Tony McGuinness is one third of British dance group Above & Beyond. 

Formed in 1999 they’ve steadily grown to be the largest UK based dance act; their last album, Common Ground, entered the Billboard Charts at number 3 and followed sell out dates at The Hollywood Bowl, Wembley Arena and Madison Square Garden. 

Twice Grammy nominated, their songs (like Sun & Moon, We’re All We Need and Northern Soul) are real anthems, hugely popular and yet not mainstream - Above & Beyond are one of the world’s biggest underground bands and have succeeded without ever having an airplay hit on pop radio. 

Their own weekly Radio show, Group Therapy, reaches 21 million people a month and is syndicated to 270 stations worldwide. 

As well as writing, recording and touring as Above & Beyond, the band own two labels - Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep. Carefully A&R’d to nurture the talent and careers of the artists they work with, both labels have become the bywords for quality. And their fans, the “Anjunafamily" have an almost mythical reputation for openness, friendliness and dedication.

Tony’s always been a fan of the deeper side of dance music and luckily for him the Covid-19 lockdown has given this obsession some real wings. 

With help and advice from scene heavyweights James Grant, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Golan Zocher he’s starting to get the hang of it. His streamed DJ sets from his kitchen table, most running to four or five hours, are reaching c.60,000 people a week. 
And his weekly Beatport bill is getting up there, too.

Exposing themselves to the ever-evolving landscape of the house and techno pool, the Melbourne bred duo, consisting of Sean Rault & Oliver James, relish the lush workings of dance floors, bringing with them a zealous load of energy that they are candidly known for. With a lucid approach lending a hand to the old-school gears of the electronic music industry, the pair deliver floor-ready fire, while the anticipated studio output is beyond electric. Building an alliance over a decade in the clubs, the birth of Market Memories has bred an excess of house and techno expertise fit for the distinct enthusiast.
Early 2018 engraved the underground music devotees when the pair dropped a literal bucket of memories on punters at the inaugural Solomun warehouse show. Curating a set list that housed an unvarnished array of tunes to open up for the legend himself, the guys reminded the Melbourne scene of their synonymous vibe behind the booth, while cementing their profile as true ‘DJ’s DJs’. Fusing a stirring experiment of deep, tech and core house hues with sneaky drops of darker, driving techno lines, Market Memories have leant themselves to enviable shows from Rainbow Serpent Festival, Pitch Music & Arts Festival, Strawberry Fields, Xe54 and Melbourne’s globally iconic institution Revolver. Ingraining the local Melbourne language, it is without a doubt the duo fusing their enthusiasm for house and techno was a muse for their fate.

Not only the aspiring era of electronic music in the 90s, but also the passion for electronic sounds guided his way behind the domestic decks early on. The fire of an intimate relationship with electronic music has definitely been boosted by this. So it should not take long before the passion for mixing and djing led to various own party series as well as to a residency in a club in his city of birth Göttingen. Other stations followed, such as a weekly show at the online radio We-love-house.fm, or various gigs, for example in the legendary Stammheim Kassel, the Warehouse in Cologne or the JuicyBeats Festival in Dortmund. In his adopted hometown Hamburg, Herr Oppermann is a regularly act in the local clubs of the city as well as a co-partner of the Hamburg based podcast series „Klangextase“. As a DJ, Herr Oppermann transforms his dedication to music to the audience, combining classic and modern elements of electronic music. His style describes a varied journey between deep, minimalist elements and Tech – House, turning each of his sets into a journey of sound with a lot of variety. With the first release on his home label “Tach & Nacht” he also showed his producer skills, in which he has created his very own interpretation of the Dead End EP by I‘m Frost.

We start the next week of summer with one of the most famous, if not the most famous drink of all time: the Cuba Libre. Also known as Rum & Coke. Canadian based and rising duo Beije mixed a sensationally smooth Monday sip, whit a rich and dreamy flavor.

It is only two years ago when they started releasing music on imprints such as Manual Music, Sound Avenue, Where The Heart Is & Nugget Music. Their sound, it can be described as a blend of hypnotic rhythms and melancholic melodies, meets the nerve of the time and creates unforgettable moments on the dance floor. 

Beije got our first attention with their Genuflect EP on Nugget Music, and they definitely stole our hearts with the tremendous remix of Jeff Evelines “Crashes in Love”, out on 3rd Avenue earlier this year. What a hymn - goose bumps guaranteed!

They, and we are still referring to the goose bumps, might also occur while sipping on this delicious Rum & Coke – so smooth and gentle. We love it, thanks guys!

Wirklich jeder hat die Auswirkungen von Covid-19 am eigenen Leib spüren müssen. Egal ob beruflich oder privat, alles wurde komplett auf links gedreht und nichts war bzw. ist noch immer, wie es mal war...

Leute verlieren Ihre Jobs, gehen in Kurzarbeit und kämpfen um Ihre Existenz. Künstler, DJs, Veranstalter haben keinerlei Einnahmen und hoffen Tag für Tag, endlich wieder ihrer Bestimmung nachgehen zu können.

Unsere Kinder dürfen nicht auf Spielplätze, nicht in Kitas oder Schulen und müssen monatelang auf jegliche sozialen Kontakte verzichten.

So oder so hat diese Zeit von uns allen sehr viel abverlangt und genau das möchte ich mit Euch mit diesem Set verarbeiten und Euch Hoffnung schenken, dass bald wieder Normalität einkehrt!

The little witch and the giant wizard were standing on the beach on the southernmost point of the island, looking up to the volcano in the center of the island, 144 kilometers off the coast of North-West Africa.
They didn’t know exactly what was going to happen, but they sensed this would the toughest test they would ever face… a rite of passage for all witch-and-wizard couples.  The road to the top of the volcano would be challenging, and they didn’t have a map.  They had to find the route to the top all by themselves.  Witch and wizard lovingly held their hands while leaving the beach … the landscape looked a paradise, with palm trees waving in the breeze.  They quickly made progress … it all felt like a gentle stroll and maybe the road to the top wouldn’t be that hard after all.  But slowly the vegetation got sparser and after a while they were walking over high sand dunes under the blazing sun.  The feet of the little witch (who always walks barefoot) started to overheat and the giant (2m40) carried her to the other side of the dunes, halfway on the slope of the volcano.  But then they got stuck in a hostile landscape with big boulders and sharp cactuses … impossible to pass.  Then the witch had the idea to traverse horizontally to the Eastern side of the mountain where the climate was wetter and a thick forest covered the slope of the volcano.  Now the nimble petite (1m58) witch was in her element as she moved through the thickets with the agility of a squirrel and found a way through this lush green forest.  The wizard would never have found the way through this green labyrinth.  When they reached the upper edge of the forest, they saw the summit was really close now, but they still needed to cross a vast ice field.  After a few minutes, the witch’s feet got cold and blue and once again the wizard had to carry her.  It was tough but they made good progress, until all of a sudden they fell into a deep crevasse.  There was no way to escape, but luckily witches can fly and she carved some steps in the ice wall, which allowed to wizard to climb back to the surface.  Finally, after a day-long climb they reached the summit where they fell to the ground from sheer exhaustion.  A bit before sunset time, they found back their strength and gave a tender hug to each other.  But out of the blue the simmering volcano started to rumble and the earth started to shake with increasing intensity until all of a sudden 12 steam fountains erupted at the same moment in a wide circle around the two lovebirds and an intensely colored double rainbow appeared in the mist.
After the fog had cleared, the couple observed a glorious sunset and from their vantage point on top of their world, from which they could see the whole island and the surrounding sea.  And while holding each other tenderly, they saw the sun slowly disappear into the sea while listening to each other’s heartbeat … and they felt their love was stronger than ever …
