"We liked the original version for its very creative arrangements, its complex and smart polyrhythmic figures and its weird, sparky, yet unidentified sounds. Basically, we just tried to slow it down a bit and find a different groove to it, with some other orchestrations (a human choir, a classical guitar recorded at a slow speed and then speeded up to make it sound like a harp, an autoharp, a flute sextet...). Arandel only works with lo-fi gear, no midi database or device, the aim being that we record ourselves or make from scratch every single sound we use. It's a bit more melancholic and spacier now, a haunting version of the great original 'Easy', with an almost Christmassy feeling to it."
