ECOUTES AU VERT - Aventures sonores au grand air! emmène le public à une série d'aprem/débuts de soirées en plein air afin de profiter de magnifiques concerts, collectionneurs de disques et djs talentueux.

EAV s’inscrit gratuitement dans de jolis cadres naturels afin de faire découvrir aux gens une programmation musicale cousue-main faite de surprises enchanteresses. Le public écoute les concerts les pieds dans l'herbe ou au fil de l'eau et se déchaîne aussi en dansant.

ENGLISH: Ecoutes au vert is a free series of events bringing great live music to various outdoor locations in lovely parks, by the river & lake sides of Geneva. We offer to the public talented international and local musicians, record collectors & djs of various music genres in order to enjoy the summer with a wonderful soundtrack.

The Orchestra Of Spheres use homemade instruments like the biscuit tin guitar, electric bass carillon and sexomouse marimba to create their cosmic dancing sound. 'Rotate' is a stellar cyclone taken from their new album 'Nonagonic Now' released on Fire Autumn 2011.

Escaping the dreary-eyed confines of his bedroom, he’s met with the nourishing intensity of natural light and indecisive housemates, at a loss with what to do with their day. The sun’s glow, infiltrating through skylights and illuminating parts of the house that haven’t been seen in years, prompts an ingenious idea. After a few minutes of logistical debate, a conveyor belt of tables, chairs and crates of beer swings into motion, passed excitedly out the window and up a rickety pair of ladders leading to the roof. Like sun-starved plants ascending to the tree line. Recharged with optimism, they watched the world from the elevated safety of the sky. 

The transatlantic-dyad of London’s No Bad Days and Montreal's Arbutus Records, join forces for the release of ‘Sense Appeal’, the sophomore EP of Toronto’s own Graham Van Pelt. The release features two tracks of Chicago-infused house on it’s A-side, and three especially transformative remixes on the inverse. Our pick, Yu Su’s flip of ‘Always Thinkin’', is an exercise in mediative techno bliss, featuring layered production underpinned by eerie vocal samples and chest-rattling bass.

London’s No Bad Days and Montreal's Arbutus Records join arms and walk over the Atlantic together as one to release Graham Van Pelt’s stunning “Sense Appeal”. A sophomore release for the Toronto-based singer-songwriter, file this under Larry Heard-redolent deep house with the uncanny tenderness of Arthur Russell’s voice floating atop.

On the flip we have three remixes called in from across the Canadian riviera. Yu Su applies her celebrated touch with a punchy club cut, while Gene Tellem goes full ‘00s with a big room pumper. Von Dutch caps and blue diamante sunnies sadly not included. Closing us out we have twin mix engineers Mark and Matt Thibideau providing a dubbed-out version of the title track, bringing it all full circle.

Jesse Futerman makes his Pacific Rhythm debut with a life-affirming slice of music lovingly crafted in Canada’s French quarter in the summer of 2019. On "Luckey," the Montreal producer reunites with his good friend Beverly Glenn-Copeland — a Canadian music legend whose keyboard-inflected outsider folk has been making waves across the world recently — and a cast of guest musicians for a song full of vibrant emotion and plush instrumentation, as Futerman works with an ensemble incorporating cello, saxophone, bass, and vintage hardware to great effect. 

There's a melancholy tinge to the swooning synths, but the infectious vocals and pitter-patter drums are uplifting and reassuring. "Luckey" is the kind of track that just radiates contentment, joy and gratitude — Futerman himself says he teared up laying down Justin Wright's cello, which gives you an idea of the vibes contained herein. 

The release also comes with a beautiful reimagining from Peaking Lights, who puts a dubbed-out spin on the track, like '80s post-disco via '90s Afro-cosmic Ibiza tracks, rounding off an EP whose classic touch and classy arrangements will surely elevate any individual who is Luckey enough to cross paths with it.
