Back at it again with some breakbeat-flavored synthwave! This one's a new one I started working on ever since I started asking myself what would my style of synthwave sound like with a bit of drum and bass vibes, and this is my answer so far.

With his latest album still making waves in the Progressive Trance scene, we present something a little more melodic from Haris Vasiloglue, set apart from the moody industrial tones of Depth of Field. The Promise is fuelled by a rolling bassline, chunky kick and crisp percussion. Addictive Perfecto-esque sequenced bleeps and a warping, zapping, acidic lead riff provide the hook lines, drawing us in until the big key change is unleashed +4 minutes in, which is a proper ecstasy moment in the best possible sense. Brilliant.

Israeli DJ and producer Anton Maiko better known as Mindwave delivers his superb Dream On/Off EP to JOOF Aura which continues a string of quality cuts we've seen from him on JOOF Recordings and JOOF Mantra. Anton is influenced by a wide spectrum of electronic music and world music. Over the years he has formed a unique atmospheric signature sound that can be found in his productions. To date he has released five studio albums and a plethora of tracks on several labels including Black Hole Recordings, Perfecto and many others. In a recent interview for Deepersense he explains how he translates his vision into sound, where he gets inspiration and how he uses his two musical personas to creates divers and contrasting sounds, well worth checking out. He has also remixed a slew of top artists such as Ace Venutra, Liquid Soul, Protonica, Vibrasphere, John 00 Fleming, Jaia and Rocky just to name a few. Touring the world from Europe to Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and South Africa, Anton took part in major festivals and events like Boom Festival, OZORA Festival, Airbeat One, Fusion Festival, Sunburn, Summer Never Ends, Psychedelic Circus, Tree Of Life and many more.
The EP sets off with a smooth progressive flow in the form of Dream On. You get a sense of purity when listening thanks to silky beats and that warm, lush moving bass drone that dominates the sound. Subtle percussions mesmerize while sweet melodies linger, drawing us in. On the break we are treated to superb modulating synths that cast a captivating spell before we head back to those delicious beats. A solid cut that will not disappoint.Save Me intros with a nice rhythmic percussion arrangement as moving pads ebb and flow in the background. A hypnotic arpeggio fades in and grabs our attention before being joined by soft melodic keys. The track settles into a tight progressive groove when the kicks enter the fray alongside a bubbling bassline and accompanying sub bass. Beautifully crafted melodies become the big focus here and blend effortlessly with the note changes on the bass creating a sublime space filled with emotion and hair raising vocal snippets. Not to be missed.Dream Off continues the journey of the title track in a much subtler tone. Velvet laced beats draw you in with their rhythmic allure while a warming bass shores up the low end. Plucked guitars notch up a sweet melody accompanied by rich pads creating a surreal ambience. The Arcade Machine label, created in the city of Samara (Russia), gathered under its wing the best musical styles, born of neon 80s: Synthwave, Synthpop, Retro electro, Electroclash. Authentic sound, inspired by the echo of pixel games, pulsating a bit of retro synthesizers and soundtracks to the best futuristic films of that era, found a way to a new age of arcade. 
Growing nostalgia for VHS culture inspires the label's representatives to recreate an era of good old retrofuturism, forcing the listener to dive headlong into the atmosphere of cyberpunk and the magic of cassette art.
