Smokin' Sessions are extremely excited to announce the new single titled 'Movere' from one of the label's most celebrated artists that goes by the name of Synkro.

The release is taken from the long-awaited compilation release 'The Session' Vol.2.
The follow-up compilation from the 10-year celebration back in 2017 continues along with the same energy that Smokin' Sessions are so well known for, offering floaty and uplifting productions with detailed beat work, along with that all-important heavy serving of lower frequencies. 
We hear some absolute classics from names such as Djrum, Geode, Versa & Rowl, Escapism Refuge, Occult, Mercy, and some newcomers to the label in the form of Marenn Sukie & Synpal.
There are 5 exclusive, unreleased tracks in total. 2 stunners from Synkro, 1 from Biome, and another 2 from Synpal.

'Movere' is an absolute Synkro maser piece from start to finish. Its energy feels industrial and gritty, yet there is an air or free-flowing fluidity that shines a light on to the recording. The beats are crisp and precise as you'd expect from a Synkro record and percussion is masterfully arranged. A weighty record that stands out as a quality piece of music from Mr. Mcbride. 

Having released with Exit Records, Brownswood, On The Edge, Deep Heads, Styrax, Auxiliary & Med School, as well as remixes for Model 500, Snow Patrol, Lowb & a plethora more, Synkro has most recently found a home at R&S sister label 'Apollo'.  Major support for Synkro's music has come from names like Chris Coco, Giles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, Prefuse 73 and dBridge. A truly staple artist in the timeline of UK Bass.

Joe McBride AKA Synkro has built up a hugely impressive catalogue of releases over the last few years. Via albums and singles for Apollo, Exit Records and his own Synkro Music imprint, the Manchester based producer and sound architect has amassed a dazzling archive of elaborate, emotive and intellectual soundscapes drawing in influences across a spectrum of bass culture and electronica.

On the ‘Information’ EP, it’s business as usual, as Synkro deploys four fresh and forward thinking tracks that slither across the genres with ease. From the frantic percussion and dubwise tones of title track ‘Information’ to the absorbing textures and crackling ambience of the beatless opener ‘Cycles’, the attention to detail and the depth of layered sonics across all four tracks afford the listener a truly mesmerising experience. The dusty and dark skank of ‘Signal’ is a real mood piece, whilst ‘Last Breath’ closes the EP drenched in sanguine sentiments.

Первый выпуск «Хроники Риддима» в 2024-м в здании! Как и обещали, рассказываем подробнее о лейбле @different_fashion, микс основателя которого - Mi Croevkhas @mi-croevkhas - мы публиковали ранее.

Different Fashion появился в 2020-м в виде серии виниловых и кассетных миксов, посвященных такому музыкальному явлению как «dub continuum» — эдакой связке стилей от ska и roots reggae до future dancehall и всевозможных экспериментальных направлений, не обязательно предполагающих наличие баса или слабой доли. Каждый диджей представлял в миксе своё видение "даб континуума". Далее последовали одноименные вечеринки и запуск лейбла https://differentfashion.bandcamp.com/. Выпуск кассетных миксов на лейбле развился в авторские цифровые релизы. Не обошлось и без каноничного для регги / даба формата - один из релизов лейбла выпущен на 7-дюймовой пластинке. География артистов импринта растёт и помимо России включает Германию, Великобританию и Ямайку. 

В сегодняшнем миксе Миша Mi Croevkhas представил уже состоявшиеся и будущие релизы лейбла, а также близкий по духу саунд.
