Arcadis houdt jaarlijks een onderzoek naar de bouwkosten in de honderd belangrijkste wereldwijde steden. In deze editie van de International Construction Cost Index 2021 stegen de bouwkosten in Europese steden behoorlijk. Arrèn van Tienhoven, sectorleider contractors praat met cost manager Ted Peek over de gevolgen voor de sector. Tim Preger stelt de vragen. Voor Nederland is het moeilijkste om geschikte bouwlocaties te vinden, want tot 2030 moeten er een miljoen woningen bijkomen. Samen met corona remt dat de productie, naast nog de extra kosten voor de vernieuwde BENG eisen rondom duurzaamheid.

Uit de Arcadis Construction Cost Index 2022 blijkt dat Amsterdam acht plekken daalde op de lijst terwijl de prijzen met 6,9 procent steeg vorig jaar en in het eerste kwartaal van 2022 nog eens 2,4 procent. In veel andere steden werd bouwen dus nog duurder. Tim Preger bevraagt sectorleider aannemers Arrèn van Tienhoven en cost manager Ted Peek naar de achtergronden bij deze prijsstijgingen. Eén van de grote vragen is wie uiteindelijk de rekening betaalt. En of bouwprojecten niet stilvallen door gesprekken over de kosten. Veel luisterplezier!

Binnenkort worden poly- en perfluoralkylstoffen (PFAS) in blusschuim verboden. PFAS zijn een groep van meer dan zesduizend stoffen waarin ook fluorverbindingen voorkomen.
