You find yourself bleaching in the stands under the hot sun, cars speeding past down the long straightaway, engines roaring.  Or perching near a tight corner, waiting to catch a glimpse of the drivers' eyes as they focus hard to make the turn, tires screeching.  It might have sounded a little like this. Your pulse quickens.
