The first release of the year from Hot Trax comes from the German duo Raumakustik, with Jamie Jones on remix duty. Having had recent releases on a Grain Audio, Ipoly & Mangue Records, “Raider” is their debut on the Hot Creations subsidiary.

Raumakustik deliver a high energy and rhythmic track with ‘Raider’. The industrial tech-heavy sounds are perfectly mixed with catchy drums and a calling bell. Over on the B-side, Jamie Jones delivers a darker remix to drive music lovers to the dancefloor.

Sebastian and Volker are Raumakustik. They have been creating music together for a number of years and believe in creating tracks that will not only bring listeners to the dancefloor but also stay in their memory.

Jamie Jones launched Hot Trax in 2012 after wanting to create a label that moved away from the well-known and popular sounds of Hot Creations. It has been described as a label for the “headstrong” with previous releases coming from Patrick Topping and wAFF.

Matthew Dear lands on Hot Creations under his Audion moniker. The electrifying Starfucker is remixed by house music veteran Ian Pooley and the notorious young NYC duo The Martinez Brothers.

In true Audion style, Starfucker takes a series of unexpected turns and the groove propelled track is made to shake up big rooms. Audion’s second original Need Your Loving is equally intoxicating, with subtle vocals and driving drums. Matthew Dear as Audion is responsible for hit releases such as Suckfish and Mouth To Mouth. At the top of his game for over a decade, the talented artist has also released successful albums under his original name and performed with a live band opening arenas for Depeche Mode, Interpol and more. Following a remix on Hottrax, James Burnham aka Burnski is back under his James Solace alias to release Mind Music, a formidable first full release featuring four equally as impressive tracks released this February on Hot Creations.

Keep On sets the tone of this sumptuous release, rumbling sub-bass holds the track together, like a huge wave it slowly gains intensity, given room to breathe until it unfurls into a powerful weapon. A heavy dose of playful funk is applied on Catalyst, with guitar, squelching synth and a dash of warm soul. Mind Music is a deep and hypnotic piece, an addictive vocal loop over laser sharp synth and becomes firmly embedded in the psyche. Finally, Groove does what it says on the tin and sees James expertly craft another solid beat where growling bass combines with licks of pulsating acid that will undoubtedly send the dance floor into raptures.

UK hero James Solace also known as Burnski has made his name through a penchant for moving through many styles of music with ease, always being one step ahead of the trend and mixing the new with the old. Whether it be his trade-mark tech-house grooves released under Burnski or through his Instinct alias and label where he channels drum and bass, garage and 2-step, his productions are always of the highest quality. He boasts regular gigs at esteemed venues including DC10, Fabric, Rex Club and Watergate. The 27th of March will see one of this year’s most sought-after releases, as Paradise founder and Hot Creations head Jamie Jones teams up with long-term friend and Paradise resident Alan Fitzpatrick on Fairytale Frequency. The stunning two-tracker is the debut collaboration from two of electronic music’s most in-demand talents and, as expected, the end result is an outstanding offering that showcases both artists at their best.

The lead track Fairytale Frequency instantly showcases the bespoke sounds of both artists. From the get-go we witness the tell-tale signature of Jamie in the tribal drum patterns and whispering female vocal hooks, whilst Alan’s trademark club sound comes through in the pulsing, acid-twinged lead synth. Sundancing rounds things off. Soulful and soothing, the track is reminiscent of Hot Creation’s early days with it’s warming bassline and deep, emotive vocals, as gentle hats converge on light kicks to form a Baleric-inspired closing cut that tugs deeply on the heartstrings.

As a world-renowned DJ and producer, head of Hot Creations and founder of the global Paradise event series, Jamie Jones has etched out a legacy on electronic music that few can attest to. His personally curated Paradise series offers an international showcase of house and techno’s most recognisable artists. A long term Paradise resident, Alan Fitzpatrick has risen to the upper echelons of electronic music with a constant stream of outstanding releases on the likes of Drumcode and his very own We Are The Brave label.
