Starts With You _ Archie Keffert


In “Starts With You”, multi-instrumentalist/producer/singer/song writer Archie Keffert draws upon the flavours of yesteryear Detroit, wrapping them in contemporary production to deliver a quite fabulous declaration of love. There is no overly devotional lyrical out-pouring to the song’s subject nor reverential clinging to the sounds the song takes inspiration from but, instead, a gentle celebration of both - it’s a delight. Think Mark Ronson at his best or James Ford with The Last Shadow Puppets.

	From his isolated studio in the south downs of southern England, this young producer shows an understanding that reverb is…… just like chocolate. The wrong chocolate, bad chocolate, in even modest amounts will leave you feeling queasy. The right chocolate, the good chocolate, like a well chosen reverb, can be gorged upon and heaped on in great big fabulous spoonfuls.
Feast upon this reverb drenched dish and at just 2:30, look forward to repeat portions.
