Gulnara Samoilova is a street and fine art photographer based in New York City and the founder of @WomenStreetPhotographers Instagram feed. 
She holds a certificate in creative practices from the International Center of Photography in New York City and a diploma in photography from the Moscow Polytech College. 
Gulnara is a former Associated Press photojournalist and received national and international awards for her iconic photographs from 9/11, including first prize in the most prestigious World Press Photo competition in Amsterdam and nomination for the Pulitzer Prize by the AP. 
Gulnara's work is a part of major collections such as the Museum of the City of New York, The New York Public Library, and the New York Historical Society, among others.
With 40 years combined experience as a documentary photographer, artist, darkroom printer, photojournalist, and a photo editor, Gulnara employs her experience and qualifications to research and curate an impressive body of work by women photographers from around the globe. 
Her first book "Women Street Photographers" by Prestel Publishing was released on March 2, 2021.

He specializes  in unit and gallery photography for Television shows, and some of Darren’s clients also include athletic and luxury corporate brands like Adidas & Ralph Lauren, production companies like Proper TV & Cineflix, and  broadcasters like Bell Media, Rogers & CBC.

Episode 39 - Darren Goldstein Interview

Quintavius Oliver is an Atlanta based fine art and documentary photographer who uses his engaging portraits as a means of self exploration and sensitive storytelling. 
He acquired his first camera at the age of six from his grandmother and immediately began to document his ever expanding world without a second thought. 
Completely self-taught and ready to take on the world with his camera while raising his daughter as a single father, Quintavius spent much of his twenties documenting community uprisings against police brutality towards Black Americans and exploring his own generational traumas as a young black man through his lens. Occasionally, he would get a break to travel to places like India or Cuba to explore and experience places that he was told he would never live long enough to see because of the stereotypes that surround young black men. 
Now, still with a camera in hand, Quintavius has made it his mission to see and photograph people honestly and wholly as he creates a safe space for self-expression and vulnerability through his passion for photography.

Episode 42 - Lori Grace Bailey Interview

Alex Stoddard is a conceptual portrait photographer living in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in rural Georgia, he was inspired by his surroundings and rural isolation, & began taking self-portraits as a teenager. Photography became a means of escape, allowing him to construct elaborate scenes and step into the role of different characters through costumes and posing. 

He explores concepts of fantasy and surrealism within portraiture, as well as the human form and its connection to nature. He is entirely self-taught and relies on his eye and natural instinct when creating. 

Alex has also just released his debut book titled INSEX, in which he explores the parallels between metamorphosis in the natural world and human coming-of-age. Through staged, highly stylized images, Stoddard invites viewers into a colorfully dark world of budding sexuality and crawling insects.

The Real Deal is not a dedicated how-to book about “where to put the light,” though there is instructional information to be gleaned here. Instead, it's simply a collection of candid “field notes”—some short, some quite long—gathered over time that, together, become an intimate look behind the lens at a photographer who has pretty much seen and done it all.
