On April 2, 1969 21 members of the NY BPP were arrested and accused of conspiracy to bomb the city of New York. Written in the Branch Queens House of Detention, the following is a response to Judge John M Murtagh's indefinite recess of the trial. On May 13, 1971, after spending 2 years in jail all the Panthers were acquitted.

This impromptu speech was delivered by Eddie Ellis on August 21, 1992, the day after his release from a 23 year bid in New York State Prisons. The former journalist for The Liberator Magazine, The Harlem Black Panther Party, and the Green Haven Think Tank, discusses the support he received from the outside, his take on the Black Political Prisoner/Prisoner of War debate, and collective efforts to survive behind the walls. He is introduced by Dhoruba bin-Wahad with whom he did time.
