Hare Haraye! 

A collaboration between Benjamin Crystal & Butter Thieves. Birthed in Arambol in early 2021, the recording and writing sessions were infused with Goan sunsets, Vedic culture and the soundtrack of the Arabian Sea. One of those synchronous meets where the stars and waves aligned to create a timeless dance floor classic. An eclectic fusion of cultures and genres. Dance, Rap, Shamanic, Mantra Beat and Ecstatic Dance. The Lyrics are inspired by Krisha consciousness and the Bhagavad Gita. An anthem for the conscious dance generation and beyond. Blessings and salutations, Hari Haraye!

That was my first time attending what feels for a long time like my home turf as a DJ and not as a dancer.
When the staff and I lit the candles at the altar, just before the session started, Nofar asked for "playfulness". I saw her request and raised it to "Naughtiness". ;-P
Soon after, what started off as a loooooong musical "edging", soon transformed into a huge sweeping ecstatic wave - ascending and descending for about an hour, actually comprised of various mini-waves - before it died out and blended perfectly into Nofar's majestic and heaven-like live music.

An ecstatic night at Ecstatic Dance Cairns, celebrating two years! We danced as 70 to our freestyle movement journey - all bodies, all people, all aged adults at Tanks Arts Centre. It was off the hook and such a joy to share music and move as community.   

The first 40 minutes is arrival including introduction and facilitation which also included the serving of cacao for our special dance (thank you to Leilana Grace of Moments in Touch for joining us!)  . The microphone wasn't recorded.
