You can be sure, the hip-hop vibes are rooted deep down when it comes to Dal Platinum. It’s no other way this time either: ‘Goo On Down’ is heavily armed with tricky sampling, a marching flow on the groove and respectful vocal recycling. True b-boy material - one could say to put it simple!

Having finished a classic groove-a-dellic rework on Nasa Funk’s remix EP for BBP late last year, we kept on making plans with the man from South East UK. Ideas came back and forth, many music solutions were on the table... let us tease you all with some future insight of a crispy 2 sided black vinyl! However, for now, here we go: ‘Goo On Down’ is the brand new free download through the bandcamp of Breakbeat Paradise Recordings for the Powerhour series in October.

Correspondant present the vinyl sampler for their 3rd label compilation. Following in the success of the previous two entries in the series, this latest edition provides a perfect snapshot of how the relatively young label has matured over three years, with contributions from a range of artists including big names (such as Roman Flügel and Chloe), close Correspondant family (like Man Power and Red Axes), and exciting new rising talent (including Bird of Paradise and Sigward).

With eight tracks, split over two records, Compilation 03 sees curator and label owner, Jennifer Cardini, displaying an even wider musical breadth than the previous two compilation incarnations, but still represents the undefinable yet unmistakable sound which truly marks out Correspondant as unique.

Correspondant Compilation 03 is due out via Correspondant on June 15.
