"Fog", a study in suspended erosion.

Built from the same elements as “Murk” (https://soundcloud.com/subespai/murk), this piece introduces new details to move away from some of its more inaccessible traits, while pushing further into the decompositional framework I’ve been developing.

Rather than traditional stasis, "Fog" holds in a state of tension and drift, where nothing resolves and nothing rebuilds. It reflects on the dystopian present as a moment after collapse, haunted by futures that now feel irretrievable.

Mordançage is a new project from Tobias Hellkvist and Andrew Tasselmyer...  

The new album is a reference to the photography technique that creates  a degraded appearance in photo prints by physically altering film, a close metaphor for the way the album was created; manipulation of source audio and sound design creating a very different result.

This album was created in a solar powered forest cabin during the desolate winter months. Comfort for dark nights, cold isolation and fuel for gazing pensively into the fire. Another chapter in my ongoing musical journey to find some peace of mind in this world. Layers of my own grief and regret slowly peel away with this music to reveal the mercy and self forgiveness that lies within. I hope you will find the same warmth in this album that I did while creating it.
