I like that write-up. The times do feel a wee bit entropic. Creative, dancey and lighthearted chiptune-style soundscape for an opening menu. :)

This song is for a game main menu screen for a game we are working on by the same name, 'Modern Entropy'. We made this song with the idea in mind that entropy has always been around, but the kind we have now is a very modern kind of condition - having to make sure the alarm wakes us up, going to work and back, having messes pile up and be cleaned up again, having limited free time and choosing what you do with it each day, choosing who you talk to or befriend, or who you date, and the dating game. However we made the song itself reflect 80's/90's feeling vaporwave disco styles.

We were joined by Bruce Parsons who composed additional synth and piano parts. Thanks for joining us, Bruce!

After Bruce joined us, in a final jam session Masha added a lead and a dub echo lead throughout the song, and later an intro when she was going to sing.

We made this jam on January 2nd, 2024 - and it was so much fun to create. It is heavily inspired by a mixture of phonk/noise/experimental elements and the Aperture Science setting from Portal 1 and 2, and it is for our game and story called Parallel Tales. The protagonist Ashara Vayla is an elf who accidentally cursed herself with a condition that grants her power that is out of this world, with some unfortunate side effects because of the arcane magic now running directly through her veins.

This track is a collaboration with Masha @masha-solo the vocalist of Archmage Band @archmageband2 After creating a section arranged by her for the instrumental, I continued with other sections, and after completing the instrumental, she added the vocal melody to finish it.

Endless Adventure (I Wrote My Own Path) - Instrumental

One night in March 2022 when my partner Rob from Archmage Band (@archmageband and @archmageband2) was coding he experienced an auditory glitch every time he typed with an interesting series of beeps. I noticed it, catching the moment with my microphone. The glitch had inspired me to make this melodic techno song which is usually more his style, and I also dedicate this one to him. (@rob-ulysses)

Archmage Band was formed in 2013 by Rob Ulysses and Masha Solo, who are a musician couple and synth pop duo based in Australia.
