Thank you so much for checking our page for Archmage Band III.

This song is a theme song for the Parallel Tales series: Exit of the Exile, which is the first story's theme song featuring the elf Ashara.

It will be on Realm III [Instrumental Prologue].

We're working on a storytelling style for the vocals together now. For that version we'll be sharing more of the story than ever before.

A reupload from the first account. A song of ours from early in the band's history, around 2013-2014, reworked in 2022 for the upcoming album 'Mulu Lagoon'. We had a lot of fun with dub, echo and delay effects, and blending chiptunes with synth pop and elements of electroska.

A song composed first in 2014 and added to later in 2022. It was one of the first songs that the account ran out of room to host, that we posted onto @archmageband back in 2022. So it's back on this new one.

Original Description:

A song set in the 1960s between a lady and her estranged friend, after they had to move to different places and lost touch. She's trying to rekindle the friendship by calling him on the phone after years of not talking enough, but will it be enough of an effort of encouragement after they went their separate paths in life, could that old friendship be built to last? 

A foray into an industrial sound blended with electronic pop.

Distant Friend - Instrumental

A song we composed using the free and open source LMMS DAW, Reason Compact and our Korg microKey midi controller, which features the character Riven Halfwaye from our game/story series in progress called Parallel Tales.

It's meant to sound disturbing, chaotic, experimental, science-fictionesque, and was inspired by the Aperture Science Soundtrack if it had more phonk and hip hop elements.

About Riven: A genius scientist antihero coping with living with insanity in a dystopian world. He would do anything for the one he loves.

The story behind this one is that Rob Ulysses of Archmage Band often has a reoccurring dream setting that he calls the "Macabre Coast".

We tried out a new style for this one, a darker more ambient approach with slow, heavy and steady beats and haunting synth bells.

This song is a theme song for our game in progress of the same name. We hope that you like the result when it's ready.

Originally the song is 6 1/2 miinutes long. This is a shorter radio edit version produced by Neons Gone Mad. We think they did an excellent job! ♥

"And now for something completely different" from our last track 'Macabre Coast', in mood:

A song to do game development or storywriting to, designed to be fun while building a world with some uplifting chiptunes melodies.

Composed in 2016 and finalised in 2024, this one has been on the backburner for a while with the strange code name "Doramumu" which was a name that came from Figure App's song name generator. :D

It will be on the album 'Arcane Arcade'.

We just finished an album outro for our next album 'Realm III [Instrumental Prologue]. The album composition is going well. We hope you enjoy our latest preview from it. Thank you for your support!

This is an older composition from 2015-2016 which we finished in August 2024.

It features the elf Ashara walking from travels through the forest into the sea, one of the first scenes written for the Parallel Tales series.

We took a different take or approach to the ancient name meaning.

According to Nameberry:
"The name Asherah is a girl's name meaning "she who treads on the sea". Asherah is probably one of the most ancient of mother goddess symbols, recorded in the pantheons of several civilisations from the tenth century BCE."

According to Google:
"Both the Greek and Latin translations of the Bible, moreover, render the words asherah and asherim as “grove” or “wood.”

Our indie game developer friend Josh "Cheeseness" Bush made a game called 'Wink Commander' about making friends while traveling through space. Made for the Jamuary challenge (jamming lots in January).

We finished a song from 2020 for this entry. It took years to finish this one, not ever sounding quite finished enough until today when we worked on it for half a day to finish the old work. It's a strange combination of various genres we admire, in this case gothic/chiptunes/and phonk inspirations, aiming to be both spooky and uplifting. To us, the 808 cowbell sound always reminded us of the ancient Egyptian culture.
