Recording of my DJ set from xXETEXx night at Hammahalle (Sisyphos), where I played from 04 to 07 on Sunday, 4.12.2022. and shared the stage with Josephine Wedekind, Herrmann Stöhr and Aka Nina. 

From my post, published on 23rd November:

"Rhetorical question. Did you know that for every story you share (with disgust, pleasure or disdain) about the success of a female producer / DJ in the scene that is based only or mostly on good looks, you ignore the majority of women on the scene. Women who have built their careers and success, apart from their good looks, only on persistence, hard work, quality, a good ear and excellent selection and technique. It is time that, in addition to insisting on gender equality, we also talk about the negative approach and attitude we have. 

With great pride, honor and happiness I will share the DJ booth with three women with a capital W who have made me dance, cheer up and laugh on more than one occasion."

All the love of this world goes to my friends - your love, kindness and support means everything to me.

A special greeting goes to my dear friend @lilianstark without him this recording would not exist.

Respect and gratitude to the people I shared the dancefloor with that night and my vision of music during part of it.

My heart goes to Madchester Monster, S.H. You are an inspiration and motivation. I wish I could spend a day in the beautiful brain of yours just to see what the world looks like from your perspective. My love for you is unworldly and will exist forever, even if/when love takes us apart.

Released on 7th December, Indira’s latest work transcends the conventional boundaries of Techno across two celestial-themed club weapons…

Indira Paganotto and her ARTCORE imprint stand out from the crowd with an exponential sense of uniqueness, front-running pioneers of the new psy-influenced techno boom. Indira’s latest release, via ARTCORE, is a solid testament to that fact, exhibited masterfully across two individually brilliant club cuts on her ‘Heaven Is For Warriors’ EP.

Opening with the lead track, ‘Heaven Is For Warriors’ comes in hot with thumping drum grooves and crisp percussive drive, supplemented by ominously celestial undertones and rave-inspired musicality throughout - a sinister tirade of punchy electronic grit, marching to a racy tempo built for peak-time sets.

The release closes on ‘Requiem’, further playing on the darkened divine theme throughout the EP. Beyond its atmospheric intro, you’re greeted with a marauding flurry of watertight Techno goodness layered with synths, sirens, pads and much more.

There’s no denying Indira’s oneness when considering groundbreaking techno talents; her ‘Heaven Is For Warriors’ EP serves as a solid reminder of her commitment to trailblazing a path into the genre’s new and exciting age.

01 Indira Paganotto - Heaven Is For Warriors (Extended Mix) [ARTCORE Records]

Released on 22nd April, Indira’s next big release, the 3rd of her own to grace ARTCORE is a trance-tinged techno offering, that's had plenty of dancefloor approval.

Indira Paganotto and her ARTCORE imprint stand out from the crowd with an exponential sense of uniqueness, front-running pioneers of the new Psy-influenced techno boom. Indira’s upcoming release ‘Gypsy Queen’ is another perfect example of how she has garnered so much love and support for her unique vibe and ethos to date.

Title track ‘Gipsy Queen’ begins in eccentric fashion. A gentle strumming of flamenco guitar lines, a distorted chorus of castanets and an enchanting vocal open the track to remain a key feature throughout waves of razor-sharp synths and hurtling drums sequences. The dips in pace are beautifully accompanied by the stirring vocals but before long the flamenco
influences are overrun by the trance-tinged techno Indira is famous for.

The out of body like energy summoned by the strings and haunting effects of ‘Vendetta’ offer a different audio experience to that offered by the EP’s title track. With a visceral intensity that becomes more acute following each drop there are several curious effects and tones at play to make for a somewhat dramatic techno heavy melody.

Being different is kind of hard these days, but ESHU is always trying to push boundaries. ESHU is a four-man live/DJ collective hailing from Nijmegen in the Netherlands and consists of Roger Gerressen, Jocelyn Abell, Daniël Lekatompessy and Ivano Tetelepta. Near the end of 2010 they decided to join forces and create a crew of likeminded music lovers. They all try to represent the sound that Nijmegen is best known for and that is the sound of the underground, DJ/live sets and productions can be found in all different aspects of Techno. With a well-received first EP (ESHU – Maan EP) the start of their own label ESHU Records at the end of 2011 has been a success since. The second EP (Various Artists – Palette EP) has just been released and slowly but gradually they’re getting more exposure. Known for their up-tempo, hypnotic techno sets and slow paced dub excursions, you can expect techno in all shapes and forms.
