When I think of the past, my thoughts are drowned in ink and spread out on the pale yellow paper. Like a brush in my hand, it leaves a mark with the force of the brush; like a straw hat on my head, I breathe in the mist above the mountain stream.

Reflection is one of the most special songs I've ever written and one of the most difficult to produce. I knew when I started it that I didn't yet have the skills to do the idea justice (honestly, I still don't, but it couldn't wait forever). I tried a couple times to start over and modernize it, but only ended up ruining the emotion that got me attached in the first place. So Reflection lay dormant until early this year when I decided it was finally time to return to the original project file and try to finish it in earnest. Sorry if the mix is weird; it's hard to work with sounds that are going on 5 years old.
