'Opus 76BPM' is the debut album from Berlin-based composer, producer and hip hop futurist Jim Dunloop, after several co-productions with DJ Marc Hype. A dedicated pianist for over 30 years, Jim's musical chops are evident throughout this lush, jazzy and soulful long player. Sticking entirely to one tempo (76 beats per minute, as the title suggests), the project displays an astounding amount of breadth and variety, proving that actual speed has little to do with the perceived pace of music.

Thank you to @autumn-drones for not only maintaining an absolutely splendid polysynth collection, but for inviting mere mortals such as myself into the inner sanctum of your studio for collaborations like this.

This track was created live, on the fly with myself and Tim Stoneberg a week ago today. He controlled his fleet of polysynths from the Cirklon while I played his Prophet-6 live on the fly. This track has bumps and warts, but it definitely feels how I experience the original Vanegelis score for Bladerunner. I associate the mighty Yamaha CS 80 with that original score, and by God, the Prophet-6 has a bit of that lineage in it. An instrument that is a pure joy to play.

Dream Within A Dream

E370 in 'Sequenced Chord' mode. By using the SYNC inputs, you can step through the chord table, up to 64 entries. The Chord Table is an ASCII file with the cents deviation from the root for each VCO.

This allows you to have a 64-note, 4-voice sequencer with arbitrary tunings. It's a 'crude' sequencer/arpeggiator, but it's a "free" feature.

The wavetables are Chebyshev polynomials generated by the WaveEdit application, while the ChordTable is set for Just Intonation.
