Come along to Christmas Broadcast 2013/Welcome to Age of Not Believing

This festive special will feature some of our favourite artists performing festive tunes, to include: Dollboy with Jack Hayter, Dom Coyote, Piney Gir (with Kat Arney) and The Real Tuesday Weld .

We all search for that fuzzy feeling at Christmas time. Well here at Arctic Circle we like to make things easy. So come sit down and let the merriment and festive fun just wash over you! Come with us on a wintry adventure through the wardrobe or maybe just the side gate to the Union Chapel Bar in Islington. Where this year we once again double up a gig plus a radio show to bring you the annual live recording of our Arctic Circle Christmas Broadcast.

If that wasn't enough we'll be introducing you to the Age of Not Believing project. You'll be able to hear some of the songs from the debut release Lantern Waste live for the very first time including guest kazoo solo. The concert will feature many of the musicians named above plus the Puffin Voices under the direction of movie music maestro Harry Escott (The Selfish Giant, Shame).

We’re never exactly sure what’s going to happen, but if you like music, decorations, a little banter and a lot of Christmas spirit, come and join us. Humbug not included.

Ben Eshmade presents a one-off edition proudly showing off Arctic Circle’s involvement in this years Camden Crawl Festival. On the 21st June they decamp to St Michael’s Church in Camden to present six original and distinct musical voices. So tonight you can hear interviews with Adrian Crowley, Moon Ate the Dark, Haiku Salut and Ed Dowie plus music from Bird to Beast and Katie Kim.

Arctic Circle at Camden Crawl (Resonance FM Show)

This August the ArcelorMittal Orbit the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will present a series of late night events which includes a Silent Disco on the 15th August and a live broadcast from East London Radio to kick off the bank holiday on Friday 22nd August.

On this podcast though we focus specifically on the first event in the series on Friday 8th August – Arctic Circle presents Space in this Place. An immersive evening of space-themed sounds which will permeate the twisting red steel structure of the incredible sculpture. 

We explore the event some of those involved including exclusive interview with DJ Food and Paddy Steer.
