This is a track I've been cooking up in the studio since last year (2011). My son who was 1 year old came into my studio when I was singing and recording vocals and began trying to sing along. He's sampled and auto tuned in the mix. :) Looking forward to sharing more of this song soon...

Rebuild Preview

This is a project I had the privilege of working on as a contributing artist for a piece by Jordan Crandall called "The Hotel" which was shown in several museums internationally, including CalIT2 and Tate London. This was the full music score to that work. Only a few pieces of the score made it into the final version, so I thought I'd share the full version.

Full Music Score written for 'The Hotel'

Arctura is a Portland-based artist who uniquely blends her original lyrics and melodies with original multi-layered production. Arctura is a seasoned producer and performer, having spent years studying with internationally renowned composers and producers. She studied computer science, electronic music, sound for film and audio/visual composition at UCSD and holds a degree in Multi-Media Arts with an emphasis in Computer Music. Arctura wrote and recorded her first album at the Disney Studios in Burbank, CA and has worked in the music industry as a guest artist on many film projects (Lions Gate Films and New Line Cinemas).

In 2009, Arctura was a contributing artist (music and vocals) on the short film The Hotel by Jordan Crandall (2009) which was exhibited in various museums around the world, including London’s Tate Modern in 2010. Arctura's songwriting has also won her multiple awards, including San Diego’s “Songwriter of the Year”.

Arctura re-located to the Northwest in 2011 and has been performing new original material by integrating live vocals, keyboards, looping and sample-based manipulation.
