I record the sound of fireworks with my iphone 4s. We had a party at duke st then rode our bikes to Treasury gardens and watched the fireworks. 
You may hear an extra engine noise at the start of the recording. This is from the lighting tower that we were next to at the start.  Towards the end we walked closer to the fire works where no engine noise can harm.
