German duo Guido Schneider & Jens Bond have been collaborating for quite some time now with releases together surfacing on Poker Flat, Contexterrior / Tuning Spork, Highgrade and Cadenza since 2005. Here we see the pairing delivering some exciting new material via the Amam imprint, bringing their raw and percussive led style back into the limelight.

Title track ‘If You’ sees the duo deliver a bumpy percussive groove laid out over eight minutes with swirling atmospheric sweeps and expansive organic sounds, while Konrad Black’s ‘Rock Dust Remix’ remoulds the original number into something hypnotic and mesmerising with penetrating bass, bubbling percussion and sweeping pads. The latter half then sees two more originals provided from Schneider & Bond, firstly ‘Walk To Walk’ lays the focus on unfolding reverb bursts, shadowy vocal murmurs and howling bass stabs, while closing track ‘Trippin’, as the name would suggest, provides a mind-bending and psychedelia infused techno composition to tails things out.

These are two alternate versions of two of the more popular tracks from Pale Blue’s LP, The Past We Leave Behind. The record was a slow burn, but eventually One Last Thing became the sleeper track. It has been on playlists from the likes of Seth Troxler, Pachanga Boys and John Talabot. It seems to have become one of the more popular closing tracks this year. With that in mind, Mike decided to turn it on its head and turn it in to an opening track…

Distance To The Waves was tweaked into an acid floor filler. Simonetti uses multiple 303’s chained to add melody at the most unexpected places. We also stuck the original versions on the vinyl as well for extra pleasure.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring.
