JOHN LENNON - MIND GAMES REMIX [PROD. BY ATTIC STEIN]

Have always wanted to record the classic Miles/Marcus Miller '80s groove Jean Pierre, and we've now done it.  Joining on this wonderfully simple funk fusion tune is the outstanding Santi-Caballero Mendez (Barcelona) on tenor sax, relative newcomer and marvelously funky guitarist SC Les Thomas (San Francisco)and my younger brother David Rhind on trumpet (Chicago), the ultimate Miles fan and follower.  Such a treat to have all three of these serious musicians and friends with us as we celebrate Miles' modal funk period.  Think you will really enjoy what each of these players brings here.  Jean Pierre was a staple of Miles' early '80s band, that featured Marcus Miller on Bass, Mike Stern on guitar and Al Foster on Drums.  I was fortunate to have caught Miles about 10 times in the '80s and our fusion band then also performed this.
