Okay folks, here's a 2nd attempt at this track; Although 'Golden Years' was a track from the 1976 Station To Station album, I've always felt that this would have fitted in well on the Young Americans album a year earlier. With this in mind, I took the track back to the drawing (or rather mixing) board, striped Harry Maslin's production right down, remastered each part and then put it together again, adding some backing vocals by Robin Clark, Ava Cherry and Luther Vandross from the '74 Sigma Sound sessions. I think you'll agree it definitely has a Young Americans feel to it. Enjoy!
