Ashford Power Punk Rock! 97-04 (reformed 2018)

Once upon a time in the green and merry land of Ashford, Kent there was a band called Area 51. They ran for 7 years amassing a legion of fans and putting on energetic shows fusing hard rock and punk, it was quite a riot of energy and noise.

Formed by Adam Ready & Chris Songhurst in the summer of '97 the band played many high profile venues in London such as Cairo Jaks, The Red Eye, HQ club and Ocean. Along the journey supporting signed bands Snug, Fungus, Captain Everything, Not Katies & Kubrick. The band played a mini German tour in Sept '01.

Over the years the band released 8 eps, the last on Zebra 3 Records and also featured on a few comp's with some tracks receiving airplay on digital station The Storm, Lark FM, Active FM & Greenbelt FM. Thanks to everyone who has supported the band over all the years......You know who you are!
